I’ve seen it with the OEM air box bottom and I just preferred this look. Without removing the stock inlet I’m not sure if there are any real gains either way.Did you decide it was better to leave out the bottom of the stock airbox? I still have mine in there as it seems like it would sort of help with the air staying in the general vicinity of the filter. Wonder if this is better?
I’ll give it a try. BMS did install it with the lower air box in their videos. Nice thing about their kit is it only takes about 20min to swap back for scheduled maintenance.Something doesn't look right with the location of your filters in relation to the heat shields. Almost like there is to much space between the heat shield and the filters....perhaps it's because the lower air box isn't there causing it to look different.
I would leave the the lower air box on it so you can at least get some direct flow through the factory set up when at speed.
