I’m almost certain that this is in an in house job at Kia of Downtown Los Angeles, but the glossy black finish on the stock 19s looks pretty good. I think they would look better with the E badging... Has anyone else seen this on any colorwhow did they powder coat the wheel caps? They are plastic and wouldn’t withstand the heat exposure.

How did they get the wheels caps black? They are plastic and would not withstand the heat exposure during powder coating.
Any wheel shop that powder coats also paints. I had my wheels powder coated gloss black and the caps painted black.
Yes.Thanks for your reply.
Would plasti dip work for the wheel caps? I am considering getting gloss black powder coating for my rims.
Kia should offer a black rim straight from the factory. This just looks so much better than stock. My caps cost $25 apiece to paint gloss black.

Looks great!
I agree, these wheels look way better in black. I think other parts of the world will get some black options soon (albeit different designs).Sorry to revive this older thread, hope that's not a big issue around here.
Before finding pictures/videos of the black coated ones, I wasn't fond of the stock rims at all!
But seeing some stuff on Youtube and Reddit changed my mind completely, for some colour combos the stock rims (when powder coated black) look absolutely amazing. Just wanted to share the stuff I found since I'm planning to do exactly this when I get my ceramic grey Stinger (fingers crossed).
Youtube Review with ceramic grey Stinger with black stock rims [EDIT: realised the Forum won't let me link anything yet, apologies]
...and this pic from Reddit with fully blacked out rims. Really liking it.

Personally, thread necromancy is entertaining. And this one about My Wheels (did the gloss black powder coat on the OE GT wheels) is particularly permissible.Sorry to revive this older thread, hope that's not a big issue around here.

Powder coat. Got a discount because I bought "summer" wheels from them, so, they did each wheel for $100.
I know the rims are powder coated but the wheel caps can’t be powder coated or they would melt.Powder coat. Got a discount because I bought "summer" wheels from them, so, they did each wheel for $100.
Oh, heh! Sorry, I did not read carefully. Yes, painted, $25 each; they made half of their discount back with that. Hah.I know the rims are powder coated but the wheel caps can’t be powder coated or they would melt.
