Ok I have not seen a Stinger myself, so looking for confirmation too. I believe the stinger gt uses black-chrome (i.e. not traditional silver chrome) as highlights for grille, lower grille, side mirrors and side vents. Is that right? I think the roof line is a silver painted highlight too, not chrome. Looks cool none-the-less. Just an observation. Am I right? Thoughts?

I'm not seeing it myself. Maybe some pictures that point out what you're talking about?

Not too easy to show in photos...but have a look at these images and tell me what you think.
1. compare Kia logo (bright silver) and grilles (dark)?
2. some random wheels available in both chromes (black vs bright).

I'd love a first hand opinion though...

hi res walkaround video as final proof.

I see what you're saying now. You may very well be right, but I'd be inclined to chalk it up to lighting until I saw some clear outdoors shots.

yeah, it could be lighting and shadow but as of right now i'm leaning toward that not being shiny chrome. that's a plus in my book.

It's strange but in that black picture we have here, the chrome looks really bright. I wonder if that's because the image was altered and maybe brought out the chrome more as a result.

Top stuff. Hej. 35 second mark. Cheers. I feel it really is a worthwhile if only subtle visual enhancement . As bright chrome can sometimes be just a bit...'Cheesy'...when over used. Thanks again.

I'd like to see black chrome accessories or even brushed aluminum none as of yet

Black Chrome Rims are expensive. I was looking for rims and them are wicked.

Anyone else not a fan of our Stingers' black chrome trim? I just find that it is exceedingly difficult to keep clean, often looks "oily" and really shows fingerprints & smudges.

Not black chrome but Anthracite grey. Very close to the same. These are Niche Vosso M204. Very reasonably priced cast wheels.

Love the black chrome. Since Calgary has made it illegal to wash your car in the driveway (runoff protection for the storm drains), I've started using a waterless wash product for light clean-ups and detailing. It does a really nice job on the block chrome.

What brand? I like the black chrome too. I use Adams Polishes H20 Guard and Gloss on the whole car, including the chrome and it leaves everything with a reflective deep gloss finish.

I was using Sans-zo as a test to see if I liked this whole waterless concept - I had my doubts about how this would affect the finish, but was pleasantly surprised with the results. I've since switched to Chemical Guys.

It really does work well and is way quicker than a traditional wash. I haven’t had any paint issues and have been using waterless products for a couple years now. I have some other Chem Guys products but not the wash. I’ll have to try it.
