Hello all, I'm new here and also a new owner of a '22 GT1. So far I'm loving all the info I've found here. I'm posting today looking for any members in the Lancaster, PA area to be a test fitter for a few Stinger specific items. These would be a full billet engine cap dress up kit, with a dipstick, and possibly a rear window vent. I'll post pictures from there site of their offerings from another vehicle platform. I've already contacted customer service about the possibility of supporting our platform form and they say they would consider it if there is sufficient interest. So, please respond to this thread if you're in that area and also give input if your interested in seeing these produced.
Their site is Billetworkz.com

Additionally, before it is mentioned, I have seen the caps offered by Boomba racing ang Burger tuning. I think Boomba's pricing is a bit high, Burger only offers 3 caps...I think, plus Billetworkz offers a wider range of color options. Also, judging from some of the posts I've seen on this forum, it looks like we need an opinion for a new dipstick before the plastic tip breaks off in to the engine.

Is that first picture a metal-tipped oil dipstick?

Because Kia uses cheap plastic and then NGI re-handles the OEM dipstick with Billet handles. Not sure who at Kia thought a plastic tip in a twin turbocharged engine’s oil was a good idea but they need a new job..

Seriously though, I don't do too many cosmetic mods, but I think there would be plenty of interest in a dipstick that doesn't have a plastic tip, but is still easy to read--myself includes as long as it doesn't cost 1 arm and 1 leg.

doesn't virtually every car these days have a plastic end to the dipstick?

Maybe, but plastics vary in quality. Given that a decent amount of members here have complained that the tip broke off of their dipstick I think it's enough to be wary that Hyundai/Kia cheaped out on the part.

Yeah, but it's just the tip.... That can definitely cause issues....

Hmmmmmmm plastic eh?

I've contacted the company and told them there is a lot of interest in having a metal tipped dipstick, and they seemed receptive. If other members contacted them, maybe it'll convince them that our platform is worth it.
