We're getting lots of snow & ice here lately and apparently it's sticking on the wheels and causing a big unbalance. Several time lately, I can't drive over 60km/hr without the car shaking violently and the steering wheel practically shaking out of my hands. Now I've had this happen before with other cars, but never as often as this or with such violent shaking. I can only attribute it to the 19" wheels. Anyone else experience this?

And when there isn’t snow, you have zero vibration/ shaking?

I’m definitely no expert here, but from what you are describing is it possible that it’s ice build up on your tyres & wheels that is causing this, it would not be the fact you have 19” wheels.

Very common occurrence with frozen slush buildup in wheels. Had this on numerous type vehicles. Just knock it out with something or throw some warm water in there to free it up. Fortunately I now live where I no longer need to worry about these issues.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Yup. Just go slow(er).

This is more a symptom of the open spoke wheel design than the size of the wheel. I’ve run 17’s and now 19’s in the winter on my A4 and both sets did this. Find a heated parking lot or take it through a car wash.

One of the reasons many people use the more closed face steel wheels. They don’t look great but they’re functional!

Yes I know all that. We get this every year in the Great White North, but it's much worse with this car than any other that I've had. Maybe it's the design of the wheels coupled with the larger diameter causing a bigger amplitude vibration.
