I somehow knew you were going to say that.I'm driving around more unplugged than plugged![]()
How come you have decided to unplug. I am pretty happy with the sound of the bimodal. Not noisy enough for you.I'm driving around more unplugged than plugged![]()
Just enjoy it sounding a bit more aggressive. I do plug it in when I'm on early shifts as I don't want to wake up hubby. How come you have decided to unplug. I am pretty happy with the sound of the bimodal. Not noisy enough for you.
There is a lad on the FaceBook who has put a switch on the outside of his fuse panel to effectively unlug/open the valves. clever idea.I have the original Bimodal, I was lucky as it was thrown in as part of my car deal.
It's a fun exhaust, you can drive around quite quietly, then put it into sport mode and hear it if you fang it a bit.
However, you can drive around unplugged and it is " loud " in any mode, it has a nice burble in lower gears but also has a noticeable drone, you get used to it, put up your music a bit more or plug it back in.![]()
Yep, I saw that post.I thought it was a good idea too but someone advised doing it may affect warranty, something about the solenoid ?There is a lad on the FaceBook who has put a switch on the outside of his fuse panel to effectively unlug/open the valves. clever idea.
I had mined unplugged for a week. Main difference it is loud right through the rev range, in bimodal it kicks in at approx 2600rpm.

Sounds good, make sure you keep everyone posted with the date, when & where etc.Still hoping to get a cruise organised soon half way between NSW-ACT. FB went North last time. Trying for Kangaroo valley .
We test drove a stock one and a week later one with the Bimodal, the Bimodal one we could take out for over half an hour so we had a great time hearing it through different revs.Just like you, the Bimodal was part of the deal, as was the GT mats and full tank of petrol. We paid for the window tint ( darkest legal tint ) and dash cams. When I ordered mine the dealer threw in the Bi-modul as part of the deal, the demo I took for a test drive had a Bi-modul so actually have not heard a Stock one yet?
You're not missing much. Needs an exhaust to bring out the V6 character. When I ordered mine the dealer threw in the Bi-modul as part of the deal, the demo I took for a test drive had a Bi-modul so actually have not heard a Stock one yet?
Yeah I got the Exhaust and Window Tint as part of the deal..We test drove a stock one and a week later one with the Bimodal, the Bimodal one we could take out for over half an hour so we had a great time hearing it through different revs.Just like you, the Bimodal was part of the deal, as was the GT mats and full tank of petrol. I'll do a reconoiture trip over my week off. Feed back I got from the Kiama trip was it was too long and too far. I think the Newcastle folk struggled.Sounds good, make sure you keep everyone posted with the date, when & where etc.
Really took that long? Why? Also, let’s get some clips.Ok so its been a while. So I'll give you guys an update on the exhaust. So i purchased and installed the Jun BL EVC with a few friends. The quality is excellent and the exhuast noise is great. With switch pff it sounds like stock, with on its got a deep growl. And the bonus is that it has zero drones. Well wortg it. However installation is a bitch and it took half a day to install
My bi-modal is starting to look like a real bargain now.Another price rise for the Kia bimodal exhaust.
