Could anyone tell me or even better show me:) the best place to tap in for an aftermarket boost gauge much appreciated if you could thanks everyone !!!

I'm not sure which trim you have but my GT2 already has a boost and torque gauge. It's one step (down) away from the G-Force meter.

I have a the 3.3TT GT not the 1 or 2 I couldn't afford the extra 15K for the sun roof and the fancy gauge cluster. lol and I honestly wanted my boost gauge inline with my driveline of sight without glancing down.

i also have been looking for a place for a boost gauge. a buddy of mine who does electronics said that since the gt,1 and the 2 are basically the same, there should be a wiring harness in dash that we could tap into, will be taking mine next week, mrs is away to see family, unlimited seat time......i should have more info next week.

Plliar mount for gauges. Dont think they have them out to fit pillar.

Didn't really think pillar gauges would be a great idea with the airbag in the a pillars? That trim piece comes off white easy to accommodate that function.

depending on what type of dial we get, a good place is the left of the screen on top of dash. knee mounting it would get knocked off in my car because of length of my legs. don't like it on the console and a steering column piece would be too 70's camaro. and i can say that because i had one and it was mounted there, right after i took it off the column.

hey everyone I didn't mean where to mount the boost gauge I meant a place to tap into for a reading for the boost gauge I'm kind of confused why this post got moved to interior now I know why cuz it was miss understood what I was asking. I am looking for what vacuum line to tap into to get the best reading for the gauge thanks everyone

Hello all I had posted this question a few days ago and it got bumped to interior I think due to a miss understanding of what I was asking about so I will try again. I am wondering where the best place on the engine would be to tap in for a mechanical boost gauge reading would be ?????? I know the GT1 and 2 have the one in the gauge cluster I do not have the GT1 or GT2 I have the GT, so I missed out on the 5k gauge cluster just wasn't worth 5k to me and the 10k for all the other little extras, anyways if you could help that would be a huge help and save me approximately 4,900k extra lol. there has to be a vacuum line some where on this engine to get a good reading!! My STi was so easy to do this engine is like mars to me being a Subaru guy for over 20 years but I LOVE my stinger and am totally happy with it and glad I made the change!!

You could always tap the MAP sensor on the intake manifold and read boost / vacuum from that. It reads from 0.5 to 4.5 volts and gives you pressure over absolute vacuum, which is what the ecu is reading to control the waste gate and tune.

I've attached the voltage chart for that sensor, and the sensor diagram. You'd want to tap wires 1 and 4 on the plug to get your measurements.

While we're bringing up an old thread.... ;)
There's a small vacuum hose going from the manifold to the surge tank. The surge tank is the rectangular part of the """intake manifold""" in the front right. Just put a tee in the line from the manifold to the check valve.
