I started to buff out the car yesterday but it is just so blasted hot here I couldn't finish the job. Once it gets cooler I am going to try to sit down and get the paint looking the way I want it to look. Contrary to what a lot of people think I actually feel like the Stinger paint holds up well to scratches. It can scratch easily but it isn't that hard to buff out with this particular car. However, it does seem to chip easily as well and you really can buff those out.
Any idea if those G70 wheels are lighter than the OEM boat anchors on the Stinger? Stinger wheels are 34 lbs each without rubber, so anything is an improvement.

Unfortunately, the answer is that the G70 wheels weigh basically the same as the Stinger wheels. This was the only thing that made me pause before buying them. They are ridiculously heavy. However, they are relatively sturdy as well. Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. They were just so pretty on the Stinger that I couldn't resist.

looking on the genesis forums, they look to be about the same. someone weighed their 19 inch rear wheel and tire with ps4 at 61lbs.... these wheels aren't that far off from other oem wheels, 19x8.5 wheels that bmw uses are around the 30-32 lb area as well.
I cheated a little bit in knowing what this setup would look like by using the thread below. I am curious to see if anyone has put the 19" Sport Genesis G70 wheels on a Stinger. Those might look cool with a lighter exterior color Stinger. Honestly, Kia has to start offering better factory options for wheel upgrades. I don't even care if they charge an arm and a leg for them. Just give us the option to buy it this way from the factory.
It looks like there are some people selling their G70 wheels and tires now. This post looks like it is less than half of what I paid for my set. However, my wheels and tires were basically brand new.
If anyone else wants to do the G70 wheels now might be your chance.
I just recently upgraded my rims and tires. Looking to sell the stock 19” - 10 spike rims with pilot sport tires on them. There is some minor curb damage that can be a cheap fix. I’m asking $800 obo. lug nuts included for free
