Does anyone have direct experience with a trusted tuning shop in the Greater Chicago area that would be willing to perform all the upgrades for me that I want at one time? Exhaust, intake, intercooler, JB4, plugs, oil swap, catch can, sway bars, springs, spacers, tires...what am I forgetting? I prefer someone who has experience with the AWD GT. Thank you in advance for your help.

Mando SDC ECS10 to compliment your future springs and sways

I take my car out to Komet Motorsports in St. Charles. Its a bit of a drive from the city, 40 miles or so but worth it IMO. It's a high end shop specializing in aftermarket modifications. I've used them for everything from sway bars, new rotors/ brakes to simple oil changes. They're awesome and they treat my car like its a Bentley...

Really appreciate this Buzzrush!!
No problem at all! I would certainly call around for a few estimates though. I've never found Komet to be particularly expensive, but another member on here was quoted a really high price by them to install his springs. I certainly wouldn't say they have a TON of experience working on AWD GT Stingers. Shit... who does lol Pretty sure mine is the first one they've worked on but they have enough knowledge to work their way around a new vehicle and they've never had any issues. It's owned by a father son team I believe. I always deal with the son, Kurt. Really good guy and super knowledgeable. I can't recall the name but I know there's a tuning shop in the city that works on nothing BUT Kias. You'd have to research them to find out the name but that may be a good avenue to go as well. Good luck with everything! That suckers gonna MOOOOVE when all is said and done! It's a great forum here. Just throw out ANY question and you'll get an answer pretty quickly. Lots of great people on here......and a couple DBs lol
They also have a Dyno so you can see what kind of power your putting down which is great as well.

Hey Buzz, that was me.,. they were looking to charge $1500 for sways and springs (book time) and said I may be able to save a couple hundred in the end. I had them installed for less than $450 on my AWD somewhere else.

Blood Type Racing in Glenview is the other tuner I’ve heard really good things about.

I have a guy that can do all of this and has worked on a bunch of cars (Stingers) in the Chicago Community. Let me confirm he’s taking new clients right now and I’ll ping you his info. Super fair to deal with and did most of my mods.

I would like this info as well! If he’s closer to me and does great work I’ll check him out too. Someone you can trust with your car is priceless. Thanks Ric!

DynoSource Performance out in Antioch posted a dyno run on an AWD Stinger at over 800whp on Facebook a couple weeks ago. I haven't been out there yet but as far as mods I get most of my stuff done at Fertech Automotive in Addison. The owner, Fernando, is a German-Brazillian that was a mechanical engineer for 5 years and worked for Porsche in Germany. He's installed my exhaust, secondary downpipes, Accessorides remote start and my CF steering wheel. he's familiar with JB4 too.

That's awesome, thank you for the reply and the info. I just need to figure out who to get the tcu tune from. This 0-60 is killing me! Lol thanks again I'm going to look into it.

I just got a Tork Stage 1. I found a spare TCU on ebay that the numbers lined up and threw that one in my GT2 til the my tuned original got back. threw the Tork one in then turned around and sold the spare I bought for the same price I paid for it.

How do you like the tork tune? Is there a noticeably different feeling from the stock tune? I don't want anything to snap my neck or break the transmission just something that will actually allow the car to launch the way it should, thank you very much!

I like it a lot. I was getting some serious jerky downshifting prior to the tune and now it's all gone. The transmission shifts a lot faster too and there's a lot less lag. The launch is 2 stage and if you build enough boost you can spin all 4 tires.
