Hello,

Thinking about upgrading the exhaust on the stinger. Does anyone have any input on the Bastuck valved exhaust system for the stinger? On YouTube it sounds very good with some good burbles as well. Only problem is it’s expensive and a special dealer has to special order it because they technically only sell it in Europe.

Looking for some feedback if anyone knows reviews or has owned a Bastuck product.

Side note: if anyone has any other suggestions for exhausts as well I would be glad to take consideration. Preferably looking for a good tone on the outside and in the inside aswell especially if you can hear burbles more. Not looking for something extremely loud but definitely louder than stock. Prefer a valved exhaust because I want it to be quiet when cruising long distance.

Looking forward to hearing responses!

Not sure if it would apply, but there are some small differences between US spec Stingers and European spec Stingers. I'm not sure what they are, just remember seeing some small things here and there. I suggest just making sure that you won't have any issues before pulling the trigger.

I have not heard of that exhaust but if you have a 2022+ 3.3T, I highly recommend the MBRP EVC Catback. This exhaust utilizes your factory EVC system so you can continue to use the factory switches. It sounds great inside and outside of the cabin and is very well-built.

I do have the Bastuck valved exhaust on my car. It is a factory option when ordering the car in Germany (I'm not the original owner though). I can only speak from a user point of view, no installation knowledge. There is an added button on the left side of the dashboard that controls the valves - when on, they open at 70 km/h (43.5 mph) and close again when the speed falls below ~62 km/h. There is a small bluetooth remote that needs to be separately ordered from Bastuck which force-opens the valves regardless of speed, they call this "race mode" and it's not road-legal in Germany/EU (that's why the remote is not supplied by default). The exhaust suffers from the same drone issue as the other custom ones - the pipes don't extend fully into the stock exhaust tips in the bumper, so the gap lets the sound bounce around under the trunk floor creating the drone. Aftermarket tpis that clamp onto the pipes are recommended.

Interesting. Would you reccomend this exhaust? Do you think this would fit on a U.S. model ?
Not sure if it worth an order with how expensive it is. I have heard there is no drone when the flaps are closed is that true?

I would definitely recommend it .. in Europe. Importing to the US is a different thing and I have no idea if it fits (it should?). A slight drone is there even when the flaps are closed.

OMG thank you so much, I have this exact issue with the sounds of my bastuck and it gives me headache. Could you please explain what exactly i have to do to fix the drone?

ECE/EGE approval system.

I'd honestly say Its not even comparable to MBRP, It's way better. Service guys said It's very close to akropovic quality, but definitely does not surpass It. No drone sounds on the fully kitted exhaust, I'm also not sure If the guys who installed It were pros enough, as they said they made sure It's properly installed in all certain points, plus I asked them to hide the button internally to the fuse box, and I never press It since It's enabled. The bluetooth remote works well too.
