So I finally got around to doing a base dyno on the Stinger and now I need to hit the 1/4 mile to see my base numbers there. Once I’ve got that, then it’s off to order upgrades.

Planning to do piggyback, full exhaust and intake. I’ll do the dyno and run 1/4 mile again after that.

As for my base dyno:
329whp
392wtq

Looking forward to the before and after 1/4 mile times. Good luck!

I wonder what my Jb4 on map 3 set to 5 psi over stock on e30 fuel with intakes and muffler delete makes

Just take it to a dyno? Alternatively find a youtube video of someone who has one with the same mods and settings who took theirs to a dyno.

You going to do a new dyno after each bolt on or after putting all 3 mods on at once. It would be interesting to see what each mod does seperately but I know it would be a PITA. Can't wait to see the final numbers. That torque number stock is wow, were these severely understated by factory?

lol I wish. Yeah on the weekends I remove both when i go out racing, Then slap them back on. free horsepower...

I would like to at some point.

I don't think there is anyone else with a JB4 running 5psi map 3 on a Stinger. He would be the first.

@GTB pretty bad drone when removed?

I feel like some are afraid of the unknown, I just send it lol. The drone is awful but its only for the night so can't complain too much.

I don't know why I just assumed he had a BMW or something since I had seen ones with JB4's before. I didn't even realize they made something for the Stinger already.

Well it seems you're more than capable enough to handle what comes your way.

I for one am excited to see how far you can take it!

Yes, and same! I will post some 1/4 times in the appropriate thread when I get down to the track!

329whp and 392ft/lb from a stock GT AWD?! That's awesome! Someone at Kia has REALLY understated the numbers for our cars. Which is fine by me, keep the insurance bean counters at bay........

This car reminds me more and more of the 90s Japanese sports cars with their 'only 276hp' when they laid down 280+ at the wheels.

I will say it again for the 1000000th time, I LOVE MY STINGER!! lol :laugh::geek::geek:

Well take the numbers with a grain of salt. 5 dynos will give you 5 different readings, so they're not perfect for figuring out the actual power the car is putting down. What they're perfect for is getting a base reading then re-measuring after changes are made to see what the power difference in the before/after is, which should be perfect for Bear's use. Even the 329 whp would only be a 10% drivetrain loss in power which seems a little optimistic.

I seriously considered running 5psi below 3k just to give it a bit more low end torque. But as you said, I'm DEFINITELY afraid .

Consult with Herry at BMS first, he's been a great help!

The likelihood that a stock AWD GT has a 10% decrease in WHP from advertised Crank HP and an 8% increase in WTQ is pretty low. Especially since none of the other stock dyno charts have shown TQ numbers that high.

It’s fine to use as a baseline to compare changes to but it wouldn’t be accurate to say the Stinger makes 392 TQ to the wheels.
