Hey fam,
So about a week ago i noticed that my front tires we're overly worn on the outside edges. Then about 2 days later i start seeing the skin beneath the rubber. I purchased the car brand new and have about 22k miles on it and I've had all of the work done at the dealer from day 1. My question to you guys is do you think the vendor owes me anything? I would expect they should do something to make this right because how is the average joe going to know this was going on. It's not like the issue was causing the car to veer left or right.

I'd be willing to settle for the dealer at least installing new tires(that i purchase) for free and also do a free wheel alignment. What would be great is if they offered me new free or discounted tires. I'm going in there tomorrow and will fight for free tire installation and wheel alignment.

So again, do you think the dealer owes me or should make this right - or am i just a bad car owner and should have somehow noticed sooner?

Nope. First of all, your are lucky to get anything past 15k on pilot sport 4 tires. Unless you checked and noticed unusual wear at 6k... (and weird handling prior)... which you should have notified the dealer then, you are on your own.

alignment is like $80 and has to be done sometimes as frequent at 10k depending on the roads (and any curbs /potholes you hit).

buy new tires from discount tire. Lifetime free balance, rotation, nail repair. And have the dealer do alignment by PAYING them.

From what I've read, people aren't exactly getting a long life out of the Michelin PS4 tires. Whether that's due to more spirited driving, summer compound, or a combination; I'm not sure. You're already past the manufacturer's 20K mile warranty; not sure the details on this either.

In summation, looks like you're going to be buying new tires. I would be surprised if the dealership gave you anything. Good luck!

If we could rotate the tires front to back we could get a little more life out of them but they’re staggered so we can only rotate side to side(doesn’t do much). 22k is pretty impressive from what others have reported in the tire threads.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thought I'd resurrect this thread. Ive just had my third wheel alignment in 3 months, the car gradually pulls left ( your right US lol) this time the specs we're way out.

Kia recommended a specialist suspension place so ive just got it back from there and unlike what Kia says theyve said its not been caused by my lowering springs or sway bars. "Note rear shocks appear very soft even in sports mode possible electrical issue or communication issue".

They tell me they've seen this issue in another stinger and its caused by bad or no communication to the back dampners. I think this must be separate to my wheel alignment issue? Going to see what Kia have to say as per recommended by suspension place.
