AWE Tuning Exhaust demand

To be honest, I'm not really impressed with any of the aftermarket exhaust options for the Stinger GT. Either way too quiet (Stillen, Magnaflow) or loud and to my ears, not great sounding (Borla, Ark). My previous car was a B8 Audi S4 with AWE Tunings Track Exhaust. If you go to their website and listen to the Track or Touring exhausts offered for Audi S cars, that is exactly the sound I'm looking for. I emailed them asking if there was any demand for an exhaust option for the Stinger but because there hasn't been much noise, it wasnt justifiable for R&D.

So if any of you guys are in the same boat as me, I would encourage everyone to email or call AWE Tuning and ask for an exhaust option. I'm confident it will be a great option for the Stinger community.

Tuning exhaust for a particular sound is harder than it seems (and requires tons of fluid dynamics and sound engineering). Thus, most of your exhaust note will simply be the type of engine and engine configuration because most aftermarket exhausts are NOT tuned for ANY particular car at all. It doesn't mean that there won't be an exhaust out there that gives you the sound you want or close to what you want, but I don't want you thinking you're going to get the exact same sound as another car that has a whole different engine, engine type, and chassis (which results in different exhaust piping routes).

Obviously not expecting the EXACT same sound but given AWE Tunings track record on all their exhaust products for Porsche, BMW, MB etc, I'm betting they'll create a pretty awesome note. More options the better.

I'm also from the Audi/VW world, and while awe made a decent sounding exhaust, their pricing was out too lunch much of the time. The only reason it wasn't discussed more in that world, was because or companies like APR charging even more.

Exhaust on this car from a personal standpoint has a sweet spot that will include a full turbo back with a cat back on the quieter side to offset the otherwise overly loud system. Id love to see primaries/secondaries + Magnaflow catback myself.

Said another way, am I hoping we can have the Stinger that sounded like the S4 Track exhaust, absolutely, leagues better than what’s offered now imo. If AWE Tuning decides to make an exhaust for the Stinger, not expecting it to sound exactly the same as the S4 but if it’s consistent with the quality of their exhaust offered for the other brands, I’m sold. Again, more options, the better.

I ordered it after a few days of it being available. I’ll provide extensive decibel readings before after as well as audio clips.

Awesome and look forward to your updates. From the videos it already sounds mean and bet even better in person. Just hoping it’s truly no drone and still sounds like a muffler delete.
