Track/Course Autocross, anyone?

What kind of times did you post, and what type of vehicles were close to you?

Thanks! Love seeing other Stingers doing AX.. Is yours AWD? Looked like it was pushing more than my car and not nearly tail happy as mine.

Wish I had done in car vid. Had some wicked tail out stuff and awesome 360 degree spin at about 50 mph.

Good work!

An aspiration of mine for this summer. Nice work!

Nope.. just the Pressertech tune (and drop-in K&N filters) for now.

If you want to go faster in AX. Pull tune and intake off. Install rear bar on AWD or front bar on RWD. Slap Bridgestone RE71 R on car. Go up one size wider upfront.

I have no desire to go faster in the Stinger. I am extremely happy with the handling on the types of (twisty mountain) roads I bought her for. I might go back if my daughter wants to go and try it in her Challenger or C5.

Focusing on drag strip, because (again) it's something I can enjoy with my daughter.

That’s great! I’ve never tried drag race before. Sounds like fun!

But trying to understand . You bought for stinger twisty roads but aren’t interested in better handling but thought it was worth jeopardizing warranty with a tune? No judgement but seems strange you were not happy with OEM power enough to put tune on great tuning from factory. I loved stock power as car was better balanced than with tune. I pulled tune off after a day of running one on GT2. Ruined great balance Kia engineers designed into car. I have never been one needing straight line speed after about 350 hp. But I’m a mountain boy and rarely have chance to use straight line acceleration.

The tune is primarily for the strip, although it can be "used" in moderation in everyday driving.

I find no deficiencies in handling, in the hills or around town. Not saying it couldn't be better, but it's more than good enough for me.

Damn, 2+ton behemoth in an autox ...
That's been going on for years. I've seen pickup trucks and station wagons running in autocrosses before.

There was a guy running a fleetwood ('96 if I had to guess) at my event. I was out working the track and the corner lead and I were laughing our asses off!

I decided to track it today. I forgot all my camera stuff, but a pic will do for now.

I took a bit of the skid pad with me lol.

I realized the AX is next weekend (and potential for snow forecast!)
