Track/Course Autocross, anyone?

For those curious how I did - results are online:
AXti.me Event Results: 2019 ARSCCA #01

Class is "N" for novice.

I was faster than some drivers, slower than others - like the wagon I mentioned - turns out it's a '94 Caprice, and I was right behind him.

Notable vehicles behind me (even in other classes) included Z cars (both 350 and 370), many Mustangs, a Scat Pack Challenger.

Interesting to compare against some of the times in non-Novice classes as well.

I don't claim to be a great driver, and the motivation for track time I've done (on four wheels or two) has always been to be better (and more safely) enjoy my vehicles more on the street.

Going to autocross my car for the second time at the front range airport (Denver) since the first time was a blast. Lets see if I can get a better time then my previous best of 34.830:ninja:

Anyone in the Denver area going ?

Sunday fun:
(No cones were harmed in the making of this video..)

Raw results, I'm 2nd in N and 94th overall (all classes so you can compare to other vehicles - most are heavily modified):

Really great video! I've been entertaining the idea of AX in my Stinger, but Hampton always seems too far of a drive that early on a Sunday morning.

Regarding some of the previous posts, I would also suggest getting some sway bars. The amount of roll from the stock setup is terrible when compared to aftermarket. I installed the front and rear Eibach's two weeks ago and finally had a chance to take the car around the north GA mountains this weekend (Suches, Blood Mountain, Vogel State Park, etc). The difference in how flat the car stays is amazing. You can really push in corners and mid-corner adjustments are much more forgiving and feel way more predictable. Best part is that there was no discernible difference in ride quality when driving normally.
