AUSTRALIAN STINGER OWNERS

Stunning!
The sales rep at the dealer I got the car from, I've known him from other dealers about 8 to 10 years ago, he's a top bloke, and not your typical high pressure sales man. He said I got the best price he'd ever seen even for a car broker purchase. He also said they had 15 MY18 cars to clear in the sales introduced 2 weeks ago by KIA, they have all gone, and they sold 12 new MY19 Stingers this week of which 8 were GT, one of the best sales weeks in the last 6 months. Stocks are getting low in Victoria, the car is getting really popular. New boat loads are expected April/May he believes.

The broker method can be a good deal if you find a broker with some buying power, the one I got to get this brokers 500 cars a month to Thrifty, Budget and Europe Car, so he had some real buying muscle.

Congrats on your new ride, have fun :)

Great to see another Stinger in (close to) Melbourne. Well done on a price too! Enjoy.

Old thread but thought I would share the cost of my Stinger GT. $66300 with GT mats, bi-modal exhaust and tinting drive away. Went through the vehicle brokers of Auto Expert. Purchased in April this year.

Ouch, things really are more expensive in the West. Regardless, the Stinger is worth every dollar

How much are they selling for in the Eastern States? Agreed, no matter what you paid, they are worth every dollar and then some.

I paid $59,000 with tint, Gt mats, dash mat and Bimodal, trade in for my Optima $9,000. ( that's for brand new 2019 ) No other Vic Dealership could match that price.

So $68000 for the Stinger with the trade in then or are you saying you only paid $50000 cash.

I can answer because I asked Flame exactly that question - $50k changeover.
That’s amazing. Can’t believe the dealer would of made any money on that sale. Unless there was a little on the trade in.

$60k drive away is quite achievable, the initial offers I have are already pretty close to that, and I haven't really started pushing yet (waiting for a job offer so I have buying power).

If it's any consolation us early Stinger recipients had to pay through the nose and didn't get all the extras included. That was before the car was released and we had to put a deposit down. At the time the dealers didn't know the price. I often thought I got gauged $2k-$3k more. Thems the brakes.

One of the other Vic members here went to same Dealership and bought car off floor, cheaper than me for $57,800 but he had to really work it.
The dealership can't detail their cars for s*** though and we both had to pay $$ to get paint correction and paint protection done. But it was still a good deal.I think this dealership drops prices to keep moving the cars and probably makes the money with the commissions from the amount of cars they sell. Apparently, they have sold more Stingers than any other dealership in Vic.

Money made on finance, aftermarket products, and servicing.

Agreed. After I’d bought mine I was back at the dealership and was just talking generally to the Sales Manager who said the same thing. These days the dealers make SFA on the sale of the actual vehicle but make their money on kickbacks from the finance companies, selling you aftermarket addons like PPF, tinting etc and servicing. They do also get a bonus from Kia for every car sold but sometimes they might ‘spend’ this bonus on price reductions on the car if you squeeze them hard enough.
