Are you sure they’re using Stingers? A quick google search has no mention of it and at this time only shows Queensland and Western Australia Police as the only law enforcement agencies anywhere in the world using the Stinger. The Queensland Police Stinger was taken to the US to promote it to US law enforcement but I don’t think anyone has taken it on yet.

I’m positive Stingers are used as on some islands law enforcement use their own cars and Stingers seem to be the pick of many officers on Big Island. Saw a few Stingers with blue light bars my last stay on Big Island. Mustangs and SUVs are other top choices by officers but saw 3 Stingers with blue lights and have a friend who knows officer with a white Stinger. Yes in Honolulu ( big city on Oahu) you will find some marked cars but on most of other islands vast majority of cars are still unmarked. Its changing as some islands are using marked but It’s still fairly rare to ever see marked cars on most islands in the state especially on the big island.

I guess because you couldn’t find it on google search it must not exist. Lol!

Take a look here as there is some controversy over so many unmarked cars . Just a warning to you who are visiting for first time as you are very unlikely to ever see a marked car. Took pic above last year on big island. So yes there are Stingers being used as police vehicles in Hawaii. Not formal program like Australia but officers on islands are choosing Stingers as subsidized cars. Who could blame them? Cool cop cars for sure! Most of ones I saw were GTs as well!

I like Kia police cars in gray better than white ones. Looks cooler! Although the graphic design is a bit busy for my tastes.

Lucky bastard... driving a Stinger for a steady paycheck.

A steady paycheck is anything but lucky. In fact it’s what almost everybody does. Now driving your stinger on a Tuesday afternoon because you’ve created cash flow is another story. Sorry this is a hot button for me. People are so backasswards in regards to life it drives me crazy. Not knocking people in a job but I think this is America and everyone should capitalize on it.
