I have Stinger ordered and due to pick up at end of February. I have ordered the Bi model upgrade and was promised that the car would be delivered complete with exhaust fitted. I was told just today - quote
""Kia have rejected the first batch of exhausts due to poor fitment/alignment, not quality
The issues have been identified and being corrected, so a small time setback
I will advise as soon as I have an eta from Kia""
Has "anyone" else got an exhaust system on order and being delayed?

I was told it does not meet Australian emmisions criteria and had to be redesigned. Some one is feeding you BS. Poor fit is a lame excuse as it was made by the same company that makes exhaust for Holden, Lumens I think is it’s name.

The other thing is Kia only order 14O of them and everybody wants them. My guess is they have run out of stock.

You are correct @AV8R, developed & manfactured in Victoria by Lumens if memory serves me correctly, I could be wrong though.

My 2 cents worth/opinion, pull the pin on the Kia bi-modal & wait for good aftermarket version, $2600 bucks is a lot just for noise with no performance gains....rediculous.

Here is the article from caradvice, if you read further down, it states Melbourne based company Lumens is Kia's partner to design and build the bi-modal exhaust in either Clayton or Footscray.

The issue is the warranty, if the car has any issues it's going to be a pain dealing with them.

Understand what you say, but they have to prove the modification created an issue, it’s only an exhaust, different if it was engine/turbo mods.

It's the other way around you will have to prove it. My previous car a Renault I made minor mods to it and the dramas I went thru to get items fixed its just not worth the heartache and time waste with service centres.
Unfortunately im just going to have to wait it out.
