Driving me nuts. Passenget side seat belt whacks into the side of the car every time I hit a bump. Its fine when someone is sitting in the seat but when empty, it rattles against the side of the car. Is there some kind of rubber clip or attachment anyone has seen that doesn't look hideous that will cushion it?

Thanks

If you can ignore the improvised look, just tie a black sock around the buckle. I don't like the idea of a permanent cushion taped on the B pillar.

A receptacle? will have to have a look at the seats again.

@Robilar

Here they are, for less than US 2.00 a piece:

Yes; if you examine the seat closely you will discover it immediately to the inboard side of the cushion toward the back of the seat. All cars come standard with the feature these days. ;)

^^Link? No idea what i'm looking at.

You'll have to show us what the installed product looks like.. Still having a hard time visualizing.

Btw, a black sock is cheaper than $37... :)

On the genesis owners website, someone takes off the trim piece that the seat belt buckle rattles against and stuck a magnet to the back side to hold the buckle in place. I may try that at some point:

Got the silicon covers today. They work perfect. Cheap solution to an annoying problem

Those are fitted pieces of alcantara that are adhesive and stick on the B pillar over the hard plastic.

I think they are just cut pieces of felt - not Alcantara

Fair enough but alcantara is synthetic suede.
yes. Alcantara and suede are considered "premium materials"
Standard felt is.... not so much.

True, still not sure why Alcantara has become popular in cars. It wears poorly, stains easily and looks like my grandmother's couch.

I feel the same way about piano black plastic trim. Its a grease, fingerprint and dust magnet.
