How imperative is an alignment after installation of these two mods.
I would think just swapping in new sway bars wouldnt make any difference to the alignment at all.
I plan to do sub collars while the car is on the lift. I would think if you were to do them one at a time that it wouldnt make any difference at all.

But i could also see how after installation and a few hundres miles it could settle in and an alignment might be needed.

Curious if anybody just hasnt gotten one and kept rollin.

Sway bars won’t affect your alignment. The collars *might*. I did an alignment afterward and it was off. Not sure if it was related to the collar install or not. If you have to jiggle your subframe s bit to get them on, it will affect your alignment.

an alignment is about 50% of the cost of one decent tire. Is it worth it to risk 2 or more tires?

I have lifetime alignment so I took it in after my sways. And my subframe braces. And my collars. And after swapping tires. It wasn't much off after I put in the collars. I think I got my value out of the lifetime alignment lol

An alignment is not necessary as long as the install is done properly. A car's alignment will naturally drift over time, so it'll need to be done sooner or later anyway.

I plan to do one i just wont have time to get one done immediately. I have a road trip the next weekend and work 4 12's and am installing these on Sunday with a trip the next friday.

I guess i just dont see how the collars that are essentially securing the body to the subframe would potentially move the suspension components. It looks that if anything was to shift at all it would be the body position to the subframe. The rubber bushings in the body have enough wiggle to settle onto the collars. Especially if while being installed the subframe is being supported in position so that their is no movement from the front to back or side to side.
Now if all the bolts on the subframe were removed at the same time and the subframe moves i can believe that.

Either way i will get an alignment. Within 500 miles.

Which for me will be sept.
Ive had the car 6 months and have put 550 miles on it .

Thank Winter and a Wet cold spring.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Well the answer to this question has been revealed .

Either do an alignment or risk chewing through your tires .

180 miles to our first stop of Pendleton OR.
Looked at my drivers side front tire.

Totally about to come apart.

Found a great local tire shop

Premium Tire and Lube in Pendleton OR.
That got it on the alignment rack and all 4 corners of the car were out.

I will post the results when i get home .
I had to get at least new front tires but i ended up replacing them all to an AS performance. I really didnt like how the Pilots 4s were wearing.

I only had 1000 miles on them and they were already getting bad before the ATQ collars.
Im wondering if the alignment was out already.
Although being Kia certified i would thi k they checked it.

The tire was losing slices of rubber all over . Mostly just the outter edge but even on the inner side as well.

You will be surprised what steps Kia dealers will take to save them money. Lol Kia certified only means that they can sell it and it won't blow up coming off the lot.

No doubt the alignment was out when you bought the car.
