Ark exhaust install and impressions

Ordering The Ark catback exhaust Monday to me the stinger deserves a quality exhaust. Fingers crossed its as good as the clips.

Does it also increase performance or is its just noise?

Noise and maybe up to 25hp. The test will be when you and o have a drag side by side down conrod in July

No not yet, waiting for pooping to settle down so I can stay out for at least 4 hours without having to go. Hopefully that will happen July too.

I just installed the Ark Exhaust this Saturday, and it does sound amazing on the outside. The inside is a bit of a different story though. Any amount of slower/normal acceleration there is a tremendous amount of drone that physically gives whoever is inside a pretty bad headache and actually rattles the interior of my Stinger.

I'll leave a link for a video I took of just my phone on the center console, so it might not be the best quality. Hopefully this is a just an outlier because I have yet to see anyone mention anything but the slightest of drone.

I was under the same impression but after hearing StingerGTandME's video after install and also after the K&N intake install, I could hear the drone when driving at highway speeds and at low RPMs. This was also confirmed by OP, who ended up replacing the ARK back mufflers for some magnaflows in order to reduce overall sound and drone.

Im in two minds was ordering my ark grip cat back tomorrow, i decided on this because the write up said no drone. Keep us all posted on your outcome thanks.

I would agree that there is a drone/resonance from1400 to 1800 under low acceleration. I found that I could eliminate that drone by shifting to a lower gear. I noticed it more in the passenger seat than driving.

I didn’t notice the drone/resonance once we get to a maintained speed.

Under moderate to aggressive acceleration the car sounds amazing. I don’t know if audio clips will really pick up the drone/resonance that the Ark produces.

Thought I'd give an update. Took the car to a local exhaust shop and they suggested replacing the x pipe that came with the Ark. They used a magnaflow one. Sorry I didn't get any pics while it was still in the air.

Exhaust drone has gone down, still a bit there, but I don't mind hearing it. It's also no longer painful for me and is much more livable. Exhaust still sounds amazing and after getting it modified I couldn't be happier.

My exhaust shop considered the same . The magnaflow is a cross over slash resonator right? Did they retain your long skinny anti-drone tubes? I ended up swapping the muffler instead. If you are ever in the northwest would be very interesting to compare. My sound went deeper and quieter but lost most of the cool Ark raspiness .

Just listened to your sound clip and it does sound just like my Ark did . Drive in Sport all the time and dont drive in the 60s on the highway and it is managable

Wonder if my Tubi with mid pipes and Valvetronic with be relatively drone-free? I’ll post a video when installed in mid June. I’m worried with all of the drone discussion going around.

Ok put my deposit down on the Ark grip cat back exhaust from the U.S of A, 10-14 days lead time. Hoping for little or no drone that I've been reading about.
