• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi there. I'm new to this forum. I've had my Stinger since Mid-December. I'm in Perth and have not seen any other Stinger on the road. Are there any Stinger car club in Perth? I've notice AV8R is from Perth. Can I ask what colour is your vehicle and did you have any difficulty in removing the rear Kia badge?

Have not had my car delivered yet. Its Snow White pearl and I’m not removing badges as it looks messy to do.

I struggled to get the rear Kia badge off, so have left it as is. When did you place your order for the stinger? Have you also considered getting the bi modal exhaust?

Welcome to the forum MicroblueGT, why did you struggle to get the rear badge off, I’m looking at doing mine this Friday when it’s really hot. Have you done the front one?

Welcome MicroblueGT, im from Melbourne and i am now waiting for a Stinger, and have the bi-modal exhaust on my paperwork, but have asked the dealer to call me, when it is fitted to a Stinger, to hear it in person.

Greetings and welcome. Did you know there is a forum thread here titled kia badge removal. It gives you a step by step guide on how to do it. I used and it worked

There is also a heap of YouTube vids too if you search.

I was going to do the front but have noticed all the E badge from suppliers shows that are 3 pins which may mean drilling an extra hole for the third pin.

Nope get some side cutters and cut the bottom post. Then use a soldering iron to melt the stump. Just did a couple of days ago.

I've seen most of the youtube video on badge removal but found it difficult as there are 2 pins on the Kia badge which was hard to pry loose. I'm trying to avoid scratching the paint work that has been ceramic coated.

Hi there, I've also placed my order when I picked up my car in December. I'm hoping it sounds like the bi modal exhaust that is on youtube from Kia New Zealand.

Step one get some "disolve" spray from bunnings let it seep into the tape that holds it on then use a hair dryer sparingly to heat the badge to loosen the tape. Then get some fishing line to work up and down the posts. Keep up the spray and hair dyer. Finish off with a plastic paint scraper to pry the badge off.

Get a screwdriver put masking tape over tip then use a wad of paper underneath the screwdriver as a lever so it won’t damage paint as you pry it off. Simples!

I wouldnt recommend placing a screwdriver under the badge to lever it off applying unnecessary pressure to the panel. It will pull off once heated and cut through to the anchor pins with fishing line then using the small plastic paint scraper or credit card size plastic membership card to pull it off

I’ve been waiting since I’ve placed my order in mid-December. Still no updates from my dealer when the bi modal exhaust will be available. I’ve been driving my stinger and it certainly needs to have that rumble from the rear!

Welcome aboard, @MicroblueGT! Thank you for signing up - and congratulations on your Stinger GT! I guess it's been about a month now and I'm sure you're loving it. For reference, for everyone really - in case they don't know - one of our very own created a video about replacing the badges on a Stinger. See the first post here:
How to remove and replace Kia Stinger badges

Otherwise, as mentioned here, you just remove one of the posts on the "E" badge and all is well. You can buy "E: badges here:
Kia Stinger Badges - Kia Stinger Magazine

...that's me and I ship the same day you order...

I was going to do the front but have noticed all the E badge from suppliers shows that are 3 pins which may mean drilling an extra hole for the third pin.
Remove the 3rd pin it is posted on here & I have offered my solution as well.

This is my post earlier may help you on the front badge.
Just fitted front E badge.
FYI, I used side cutters in a circular type motion around the circumference on the bottom pin until it “broke” though to the centre hole level with peel off adhesive backing, then using a twist drill slightly larger in diameter to the pin, I slowly & gently drilled the remainder of the pin down until it was well below the adhesive tape. I wasn’t comfortable melting the pin down with a soldering iron because I didn’t want to potentially heat damage the face side.
Anyway this is just another option for those of you who choose to change out your front badge. The rear is yet to be tackled.

This is getting too hard, I’m going to leave my badges as is on front and rear. Don’t want to screw up my paintwork

You could take it to a quality smash repairer or your dealer & let the trim guys do it for you to adoid the stress of damage, I’m attempting the rear badge change over this weekend because of the heat & I will be easier to remove existing badges as I do not like applying direct heat to the car via. Heat gun or hair dryer, but I’m still apprehensive about doing it
