So I noticed the last two days driving the car that at low speed (in first gear) I would hear a faint whining sound and tiny vibration from the gear selector. I have not noticed it consistently during my commute but I have noticed it at least once or twice each drive.

Anyone experience this?

I'm not experiencing that exactly, But I do experience a slight vibration in the gas pedal from time to time. usually disappears after an engine restart.

Same, AWD GT.

Gas pedal vibration I think is normal on cold startup.

The slight whine and faint vibration I feel in the gear selector happens on occasion at very low parking speeds, or at least it's when it is noticeable.

I don’t experience that with my GT. I do notice a “winding down” type sound after the engine is shut off. The sound is sort of like what you hear when a commercial airplane engine shuts down only not as pronounced. I’ve never had a car that does this. Anyone else hear that when you park and turn the engine off?

I do. It’s kind of cool sounding. I’m going to take a wild guess and say it’s the turbos?

Yes i have a Gt rear wheel drive hear in Australia.. Owned it for 2 weeks & have just noticed a whining sound coming from engine.. notice it especially at low speeds when searching for a car spot up to around 25km/h.. the car has only done 500km. I have tried revving engine when in park & it is noticeable then.. Is this normal you think.. I can't say i noticed it when i picked up the car.. I'm getting bothered by it now cause I'm always listening out for it...

Just an update ,,,, I have since done almost 6000km on the clock and am now noticing more whining or whirring sound its particularly noticeable when taking off in the lower
gear ratios,, but what I'm finding is that it louder & more obvious in Sport mode ... is anyone experiencing this at all?...

I’ve noticed a similar sound at low speed mainly when leaving car park spaces particularly when the engine is cold. I’m wondering if it’s whatever little “motors” that are attached to the steering that run when the active lane keep assist is on. There’d have to be some sort of mechanism on the steering somewhere because it basically drives itself (within reason) with LKA on. I don’t usually run LKA unless I’m on the freeway so it shouldn’t impact anything on start up but can’t help wondering if it’s got something to do with it.

So just read my post and saw that it mentions lane keep assist twice in () except I didn’t type that I just used the abbreviation of the 3 letters. When I go in to edit and remove them because I think everyone knows what I meant, the edit function doesn’t show the extended version just my abbreviations. Very weird.

No vibration but a definate whining sound when slowing down under 40 kilometers ..all the time !! I mentioned to dealer in my first service the said they did a reset ...but its still there and always has been

Can verify I hear this as well. Started after temps here dropped well below -35c and only under speeds of 50km . No vibration just a strange whirring noise coming from behind me... as if it’s coming from my exhaust
