• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Anyone buying a Stinger during COVID-19?

That's pretty sh!tty. Even if you think that, which is fine, you can't say that to someone as a salesperson. What an idiot.

Which dealer was this? If you do buy one, you should totally call up KMA (Kia Motors America) and tell them of your treatment. Go on their website and look up the guy who said that to you.

The way he said it very unrespectful. You can't say that to a customer. I don't mind tell you the truth. I came in for cash buy but I told him to finance. I did offer him $46K OTD cash when they offered me $50K OTD with no test drive. The dealership I went to is: Capitol Kia in San Jose (755 Capitol Expressway Auto Mall, San Jose, CA 95136)

Sorry to hear you had to deal with that terrible attitude. Take your business elsewhere. There’s a nicer way of winding down the conversation than to be that rude. What a bunch of numbskulls.

Just pulled the trigger on one. Reach out to Orangeville Kia for those in the GTA.
I did the entire deal with those guys remotely. Got the current $4000 incentive plus they knock a bunch more off list because of an anniversary sale. They also gave me a very fair trade (sight unseen) on my 2015 Mustang V6. Plus they delivered the car to my house which is more then 100km from the dealer. Highly Recommended!

Congrats Bogey, but yikes, I would never let a stranger drive my new car +100km, LoL. Hopefully they didn’t floor it or drive it hard on the way to you before proper break-in!

I just went to kia dealership yesterday. I got the worse experience there. The saleman told me: "The car is way expensive for you. You can't afford it". I said: "F*ck You". Then out of the parking and went home.

I would likely get all over the let me speak to your manager thing and then grab another salesperson if the manager looks to remedy the situation. Walking out really does nothing to that salesperson.

Nevermind, just saw this was an older post and now I cannot find my delete post button! :-)

You know I didn't think of that really. But doubt she could have pushed it much harder then anyone taking a long test drive. Good thing kia comes with that long warranty :)

Too many stories like this about Kia dealerships. Not just here, but around the internets. These guys are trying to push their econoboxes on people trying to buy their halo car!

This here can stand to be a lesson to Kia: a premium car needs to have a similar premium buying experience.
I had a bad run in with a dealer in my local area. Called them up and told them about an offer I had with another Kia dealership and politely asked if they had any stock in the colour and config that I wanted and if they could match or beat my current offer. The sales guy laughed in my face and told me to tell him which dealer is offering me that deal and he would go and buy it himself and resell for more because no one was selling them that cheap. I just said I'll cross your dealership off my list and take my business elsewhere. In the end I found another dealership that beat that offer I had so he obviously didn't know what he was talking about.

Sorry guys, I just ended up buying cash 2020 Lexus RX350 F Sport fully loaded for $58650 OTD. I'm sick and tired with these Kia dealerships about the 24 months lease buy option.

:( sad that you didnt join stinger family.

RX350 is definitely comfort. Enjoy the new ride

I think the problem may also be that dealerships are getting cocky because there are very little 2020 stingers left on the lot. And they arent getting any new stock. Some dealerships only have 2 or 3 stingers left. And they arent getting new 2021 stingers till early next year I hear.

aww RX 350? Stinger would have been much better and cheaper? ^.^ and surprisingly storage space is similar too?
