Car is at the dealership today. A year or 2 ago I hit a big chunk of metal in the road. Had the oil filter housing changed. Before I hit that metal, I had noticed some moisture down there. It's never been a straight dripping it's just wet. Got this txt from them:

Hi this is Steve from Luther Nissan Kia. Update on your stinger. We found that the leak is coming form the oil filter housing. We suspect the gasket may be defective. We have ordered another one. It should be here tomorrow. Please let em know if you have any questions.

Is this a common issue with the Stinger? This will be the 2nd time this item is getting replaced. Having them tackle the recall while it's there as well. Finger's crossed.

most likely they didn't do it right the first time they replaced it, or got cheap and didn't do the gasket too.

The gasket is replaced everytime as part of the oil filter change. When you crack open the oil filter box it has the oil filter, a rubber gasket, and a new crush washer for the oil pan bolt. It would be easy for someone to f*ck up the gasket when doing the change or not seat it properly so a small leak is totally possible from it. The thing is if theyre doing an oil change they should be replacing that gasket anyway.

It's an O' ring for starters and the only way it would be leaking is if they forgot to install it or they cross threaded the housing doing it up?
I would think ?

I replaced mine. And no. They are not talking about oil filter gasket. Oil filter housing has 2 gaskets. One is between housing and the block. And another is between housing and oil cooler. The block gasket is usually a problem, and it's not uncommon for them to leak.

Is yours leaking coolant? Or oil from the oil filter housing?

The piece labeled 26101, the back part of it where that circle piece sits is where it looks wet. It's oil, not coolant but it doesn't drip, more like seepage.

You are the first I have read about to report a leak from the oil pressure access port

Ok. I see. I doubt that's gonna be problematic spot. But there're some reports of 26345s gasket leaking on this forum. And lot more on Facebook groups.

It's not the spot. On the diagram 1011AC bolt, it's the little circle looking thing next to it. That's were the moisture was.

Picked up the car this afternoon. They said it was the gasket. Checked everything over before I left, I'll keep an eye on it plus I had the recall done. It drove nice on the way home, everything seems good but obviously I'll have to monitor it. Also had them throw in the new aftermarket pads, what a difference! No more horrible vibrations and the car stops on a dime, better than when the car was brand new.

Which pads?
