I've called a few dealers in greater D.C. Baltimore area and none of them seem to have any info on availability, or any info at all for that matter, of the upcoming Limited Edition Kia Stinger GTS.

Has anyone heard anything about how they'll be allocated?

When I first thought about it I figured all of them would be spoken for by now but then again we're talking Kia here not Ferrari there probably aren't 800 collectors lining up to grab a limited edition kia to let sit around in their collection, so who knows maybe I can buy one.

I had a 2001 Kia Sephia way (way...) back in the day. Lived a lot of life in that car and I loved every minute of it and the new Stinger really has caught my eye.

Welcome. GTS is all just rumor right now. Since the first brouhaha I haven't heard a thing either.

They will be arriving at the Port of Philadelphia within three weeks. They will be 2020 model year so they may sit for a while before they get released for distribution to dealers.

Welcome, O Voice from the wilderness. ;) Your first post and it is to enlighten. Good. Where did you come on this update info? I can't Google up anything later than April 17th nooz blubs about the GTS.

PS where is Murray Kia? I was born and raised in Murray. But I bet it has nothing to do with your Murray. :P

it was formally announced, not a rumor.
I meant the arrival/delivery time. Nothing on that has been updated as far as I can see.

80 AWD's to east coast dealers from Delaware to Maine. Released in about 30 days. If you want one I highly suggest talking to a dealer ASAP and leaving a deposit. Kia has about 220 dealers in this region and they have to fight for 80 of these. I work for a dealer and got a email about them today.

I’ve spoken to the three major Kia dealers near me and none of them seem to know any solid info about release date or pricing for the GTS. One thing they all told me was it would definitely be priced higher than the GT2 because of the limited number released. I decided to forget about waiting for it and bought a GT2 instead.

I don't think that's a given. It's like the higher than MSRP attached to the Stinger when it first came out. That didn't last long, but generally the reverse happened, with most cars selling with dealer discounts. The GTS will sit with few of the few moving while dealers try to make it sell for more than a top trim GT2. Then the price will drop to c. that of a GT1, which is what the GTS is, or sort of between a GT and GT1. The last of the GTSs will sell with discounts. That's my prediction.

Your probably right, but with such a limited number they could sell faster than predicted. The same thing happened when VW released the Fahrenheit edition of the GTI they were gone quick.

Are there fewer than the yellow color? I recall hearing a similar buzz for the limited edition yellow and the dealers made a big deal about it, but they sat around in inventory. I feel like just the right # of yellows were produced and it's an enjoyable color, so I hope orange/GTS will be the same

I guess most of them came to Canada. We seem to have folks buying them here in the GVRD on the wet coast.

I was referring to the gray one. I wasn't aware the Orange is available....in Canada anyway. I would really like to see both an orange and yellow in person.:):)

See OP: 800 Orange GTS for the US. Who knows that "specials" are going elsewhere?

Ours just got allocated. Should be here August 1st. MSRP is $47,725. Only 34 allocated to dealers on East Coast as of right now.

I'm going to upset you lot up there....word has it "Neon orange" is a standard colour across the range down here.8941D790-E3AB-4E05-945E-B8CC340F8E50.webp

The dealer I work with, has one on their PO. Dealers had the option to purchase them on the May PO. Past that, details get a little fuzzy.
