What's up, Stinger team. Been a long time wanting a Stinger and been almost three years out of the KIA family. My KIA days started some nine years ago with a 2010 Optima EX. Ended up liking that car so much I traded up for a 2012 Optima SXL, blue with white interior. Turned that in early and upgraded to a 2014 Cadenza SXL, black with white interior. Rebadged it, got some Storm springs and Plasti-dipped the rims black and that car looked great.
When my lease was done with the Cadenza the Stinger was still two months away. I begged the dealership to let me keep the Cadenza for a few more months until the Stinger came out but they couldn't do that. I ended up getting a 2017 Scat Pack Charger and now here I am hoping to sign the paper work for a 2019 Micro Blue Stinger GT tomorrow (Monday). Already looking to get some H&R lowering springs (-2 version) and see what other mods y'all have posted and shown off here!
Forgot to mention, I saw a red Stinger today on MLK, tried to catch up from 183 but I had to turn just as I caught up to it. Anyone here?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. It sounds like you have plenty of experience with Kia. I’m glad you found us!

Welcome to the forum.
Micro blue is a great color, I'm sure you'll love it.

Quite a few TX folks around here, some in Austin I'm sure.

The stinger gets compared to the charger a lot. I'm sure folks would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the two once you have some seat time in the Kia.

Got the Stinger GT Wednesday and when I got home I took the front license plate bracket off to find the SouthWest KIA cardboard plate/frame was screwed in with long screws that pierced the bumper. There are five holes when there should have only been three for the bracket, three short screws were used for the bracket and two long screws were used for the plate/frame so it went right into the bumper.
Every single car and SUV on their lot has the front bracket on it and I have no idea why they would do that. In Texas a front plate is required BUT in my opinion the dealership should not attach any optional parts that cannot be removed without leaving holes or damage. The dealership is not responsible for me not having a front plate, it's my ticket and fine if I get caught.
I emailed some pictures to the salesperson and he talked to the service manager and I have been told they are going to fix it or replace the bumper, I just have to wait for them to call me and tell me when to drop it off. Hopefully it is today or tomorrow.

And, since I am on PTO this week, I decided to make a video. I'm no video creator but after four hours this is what I came up with.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
For an amateur creator, that's pretty good. Love the zooming and the fade out effects lol.

Nice music integration. :)

The dealership took the car back for a few days to repair all the screw holes in the bumper from the front plate bracket and plate frame they screwed on and now I got some mods done. Darkest tint all around (limo in the back, not sure what % up front but I asked for the darkest TX allows), Stinger E badge on the front and back, Stinger E layovers on the wheels, LED reverse lights and I blacked out all the tail lights and reflectors.
USPS said the H&R springs were supposed to be delivered on Saturday but that didn't happen, now it says 12/26 (Thursday) and my installer is going to be out of town until almost mid January (he did the springs on two Optimas and Cadenza so he's my guy).

It'll be good to see the repair to the plate frame holes when you get it back. The rest looks good to go!
