I know you have sunroofs. I just thought that OP's was a "GT" sans sunroof. Don't you have sans sunroof as an option? We got it and we got 360 cameras toolol
We do but they’re not GT. The only GT in Australia is the top line model.I know you have sunroofs. I just thought that OP's was a "GT" sans sunroof. Don't you have sans sunroof as an option?

Much better than calling everything GT, makes the top line model a little more special.AU Trim Levels are as follows:
3.3l:
GT
330si
330s
2.0l:
GT Line
200si
200s
When I first realized that not all Stingers are "GTs", I thought that was kinda lame. The promotional material went on about the "gran turismo redefined", and made no separation between the 2.0L and 3.3L; they were all gran turismo. What else does "GT" stand for? So I still think that making "GT" into some special, higher trim is a mistake. ALL Stingers should be GTs. I would have named the five US trims something like this:Much better than calling everything GT, makes the top line model a little more special.
Merlin , Merlin , Merlin !! Have you not realized that size matters ! ???When I first realized that not all Stingers are "GTs", I thought that was kinda lame. Very unimaginative, I know. But so logical and succinct. "What trim Stinger do you have?" "Mine is the top trim, a Three Ess Ex."
Every Stinger would have the "Stinger" on the left side, and the GT (with applicable AWD) on the right. Owners and prospective buyers would resort to the trim nomenclature to distinguish their cars. But the wider world would only see "Stinger GT" (AWD). And the 2.0L would not be a gran turismo in promotional name only; but a truly acknowledged gran turismo, just with the more economical engine.
Certainly. But would you say that our 2.0L members are not driving a gran turismo?Merlin , Merlin , Merlin !! Have you not realized that size matters ! ???![]()

GT , Style for sure ..................
Can’t say I’m surprised to see you disagree Merlin. But not all Stingers should be GT, there is a big difference between the base 2L & the top 3.3L TT, not just the engine but also the inclusions the seat leather etc. The top level being called GT gives it a bit more class than just calling everything GT.When I first realized that not all Stingers are "GTs", I thought that was kinda lame. I reckon it's all about how I was introduced to the car, the concept of it. As I said, Kia's own promotional material said "gran turismo redefined". They talked about all the cool, luxurious, comfortable, practical, high performance stuff that ALL Stingers share in common; then they said, if you want even more power and advanced features, get the 3.3L. They didn't say "get the 3.3L GT". So my first exposure to the trims came at the dealership, the little trims book. "GT" was missing until you get a 3.3L. It rubbed me wrong then and it obviously still does. Can’t say I’m surprised to see you disagree Merlin. Most car manufacturers differentiate between models in some way. Is it a mistake or lame as you put it, that Ford don’t call all of their Mustangs GT or not every Chevy Camaro is an SS, or is that something just reserved for Kia because you don’t agree with their badging?
So you got suckered by a glossy promotional brochure and then got your panties all twisted up when you realized not everything is what you saw in the pictures? The luxurious high performance stuff you talk about is not shared by ALL Stingers that’s why there’s different trim levels and the top level has all of them, like the sunroof, Napa leather, 360° camera, LKA, active cruise control etcI reckon it's all about how I was introduced to the car, the concept of it. They talked about it, and they show the Premium. Mostly, of course, it is GT2 in the pictures. So you got suckered by a glossy promotional brochure and then got your panties all twisted up when you realized not everything is what you saw in the pictures? No manufacturer ever shows off the base model in their promotional stuff, surely you realise this?
You can’t seriously compare a base 2L 4 cylinder to a 3.3 TT V6 GT and claim they are the same, every car has a top line model and a base model with less features so those that see the top line in the advertising but can’t afford it can at least have something similar to it. There is no way a base 2L is equal in any way to the top level 3.3TT as a gran tourism. And seriously wtf is that anyway? Most people that have a Stinger use it as a daily driver. They talked about it, and they show the Premium. Mostly, of course, it is GT2 in the pictures.
"Suckered", heh. That would only be true if the car I have turned out to be less than the hype. It is all that the hyped "suckered" me with.Everything in the hype is realized in my car. Luxury is sufficient in the base Stinger (leather as standard in all "models"); AWD, sunroof, tech features, are available in all of them. Only a few exclusive features are reserved for the GT2; is it the only true gran turismo, then?

Oh and this is the only true Gran TurismoThey talked about it, and they show the Premium. Mostly, of course, it is GT2 in the pictures.

What you’ve basically said is that all of the Australian GTs are “lame” because they’re badged GT and the lower models aren’t. The base models don’t have sunroofs, they may have leather seats but it’s not the Napa leather they don’t have the 360° camera although neither does your allegedly superior American model even though they’re all badged GT
Anyway I’m sick of talking about this and having you hijack another thread. I think you just disagree with people for the sake of it. Basically nobody is right except you and the only time they are is when they agree with you. Well done Merlin you’ll make a good wife for someone some day.
