There are plenty of threads that all ask the same general question about wheel and tire sizes that will work on the Stinger. What I'd like to see, because I don't have the knowledge of everyone's wheel specs, is that there is a sticky thread labelled "Master Wheel and Tire Fitment" or something of the effect.

We did this on the ForteForums a long time ago with a list of all the wheel sizes and offset that would fit on our cars. And each setup had a wheel size that would fit with it being lowered on springs or coilovers. Here is the link 2010-2013 1st gen Official Wheel & Tire Fitment Thread!

The person that starts this thread should have a good grasp on the community and at least somewhat active so they or a moderator can update the OP every so often. Every person after that should post the EXACT setup they have with:
Wheel diameter
Wheel width
Offset*******
Tire size
Lowered/Stock (what they are lowered on)

This would keep the posts about wheel and fitment down to minimum and make it a lot easier to find what you need or possibly need. Also, if you post, post a picture or two of your fitment from close up so we aren't trying to figure out if you have 3in of wheel gap or 3mm.

Please for the love of god, put your offset as part of the specs because offset is the main thing to worry about.

I think we already have this thread somewhere, and a master database (google docs spreadsheet, IIRC?) of the data..

I think Kamaux used to know this stuff.

Unfortunately this is a very limited model. I know there are quite a few other wheel specs out there that are being ran and aren't on that list. I'm talking about a post that is up to date with different wheel specs that everyone is using, not just the 9 that are up there currently. That post can be far better configured and less confusing for the average person without most of that stuff in the boxes.

What are you proposing, that will present the info more clearly? And how will forum members share their setups, as you see it?

Feel free to comb thru the existing data and compile your own thread. I'm sure it would be appreciated by other newbies who don't want to have to go looking for themselves.

It can definitely be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye and more simplified since I'd guess at least 80% of the people on here don't know much about wheel and tires or just don't understand them. And yes, hopefully, people will share their setups more often, but also will hopefully post their setup in the master thread.

I just might have to, but I'd prefer someone with more knowledge on wheels and tires to create a thread.

Those people tend to be owners of wheel supply stores, and it's of no benefit for them to share their knowledge so you can then go buy the product somewhere else. That's why you pay more to buy from stores that offer products that are guaranteed to work with your vehicle, they've used their knowledge to determine what will work.

Exactly my philosophy as well. I'm in that "80%+" group who know practically nothing about the technical side of choosing the best tire sizes for a particular wheels/car setup. So I went with the best recommendation from a SCCA friend and had them find my tires and wheels. I already had A/S tires on the OE wheels for winter; which I chose because of what I learned on this forum, mainly from talking to @Waynerm002 as I recall. But I won't be picking tires in the future based on what I read on here. I'll take what I learn, go ask "my wheel and tire guys" about it, and follow their advice.
