Trying to get a feel for how black wheels will look on my car.
I think it's time to book that powder coat.
As much as I'd love to buy aftermarket, I've never had luck with them rolling true.
If aftermarket is what you really want, take a look at TSW wheels. They are strong, resisting pothole damage superbly. The wheels are uniform and true. Minimal weights are required to balance them, if the tire is relatively uniform too. Lastly, most of their wheels are available in black, smoke, or charcoal styles.
I found this brand when I had my BMW’s. Those cars are finicky and not tolerant of poor wheel design, construction, or durability at all. What’s more, equipped with low profile run flat performance tires, the Bimmers ate wheels and tires regularly. When I switched to TSWs, no more wheel damage from potholes.
I think @MerlintheMad has TSW wheels on his Stinger, so you may be able to check with him on how durable and well designed they are when used on the Stinger specifically.
