almost 100,000 miles

my work is 23,200 miles a year plus personal miles of about 9,000 miles
Well a two ton twin turbo missile wouldn't have been my first choice for such a job but at least you had fun.

I have a 2019 GT RWD with 80,000 miles , and I can say this is the most trouble-free car I have owned. I have normally purchased Toyota, Nissan, and Lexus, but could not resist the temptation to buy the Stinger GT. The value for performance is amazing and so far no issues. I did replace the brakes a couple thousand miles ago so decided to upgrade to EBC Yellow Stuff pads with drilled and slotted rotors. Other than basic oil changes, air filters(K&N Drop In), and tires the car has been completely trouble free. Time will tell but so far great!

sounds like you had better luck than I did

Kia has been "stepping it up" for well over ten years now. The Stinger was showing what Kia can do. Then they brought out the Telluride and orders are months behind. :D
I still remember the times when they had "buy one get one free" deals. And the cars were horrible.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
at 42k miles? or at 92k miles?
45000 miles was about the mileage. Went in for a normal check up and an error code flagged so they replaced the coil packs and spark plugs. Pretty common issue as most of us know for sure although I didn’t have any real issues with how the car ran. I am planning on upgrading to HKS plugs at around 100,000 miles just to be safe after warranty

This is the kind of post I like, I haven't seen to many positive posts on this site. It seems there are many problems with the Stinger when you go through the posts. Stingers with mods seem to have problems which can probably be expected. I still say after 3 solid years of production and the Stinger still has creaking in the sun roof and the hatch shows Kia is not really doing anything to fix this. I do like a fast car but it almost seems like speed takes precedence over quality problem free driving.

Dont forget. People who don't have any problems with the car, usually don't post it online. But i gotta admit. All those sunroof complaints pushed me into getting gt model, wich doesn't have it.

I just wish they would bring back the hamsters man, I wonder how they're doing.
Considering how many kia cars i see on the road these days, i would say, they are busy breeding.

I am thinking the same thing, you have not had any rattles with the hatch? How about the 9 speaker radio, I use USB drive 100% of the time to listen to music it sounds better to me than radio and satellite. My current car plays MP3 and WMA (electronic version of CD's). Some vehicles will only play the MP3's I need it to play both.

I did have hatch rattles. But it is such an easy and fast fix, i wouldn't even consider it as a problem.

I try to establish some perspective/balance. All of my posts are positive Kia promotion. :D

If you look at the proportion of total forum membership posting about problems, even among ourselves problems are in the small minority. Most who post here are not talking about issues with the stock car. Take the paint quality issue for instance: (13) Discussion of Stinger paint quality (Was - Paint Chip Issue) | Kia Stinger Forum : 422 respondents to the poll so far, out of a total membership of 14,517, is not even 3%; and c. a third of those on the poll said "No paint issues". That thread is one of the longest and has been running for two and a half years; it keeps sinking out of sight because hardly anybody comes here asking about paint quality issues. The last post to it was back on 22nd June this year.

My car is as perfect as a machine can be, even at close to three years of ownership: no issues at all. And I read these kinds of experiences on here quite as often as shared troubles. The implication of silence is that no problems worthy of mention are occurring with the vast majority of Stingers.

I am interested in intake valves coking with that milage. How does it idle?
The idle is like new- no issues. I always run premium and keep up on the maintenance schedule and have had no issues. I do not have any engine mods- K&N drop-in filters but those are definitely not a mod in my mind just a cost savings long term. Yes I would love more power but the risk of long term effects and potential costs keeps me leaving it stock...which is still plenty of fun to drive!

I understand your perspective and have always tried to steer clear of sunroofs on any car for the fact it seems like they all usually end up causing problems. In the winter the hatch does make slightly more noise, and I simply cut insulation tape and place under the hatch stops and it stops the noise. Yes I shouldn’t have to do this but its an easy and very cheap fix and the ability to have a hatch makes it 100% worth it! The RWD GT is a great value for the money: Lower initial cost, no AWD system to worry about repairs for, and no adjustable suspension for easy and less expensive suspension mods. I am not Pro-Kia vs another brand as this is my first one, but I would not hesitate to buy a Kia/Hyundai product again in the future.

At current rate 100,000 miles will be reached after 15 years of ownership.
