I do mountain biking and used to ride motorcycle. Since I have been to US, mostly bike has been refereed to bicycle, in India it meant motorcycle. You should try motorcycle, they are fun. I am planning to get one soon.

I think it also depends on a persons level of competence, the costs involved to have the correct equipment at hand & also what value (hourly rate) that you put on your own time.
For me personally I’m a qualified Fitter & Machinist by trade, I would rather spend $200 to have a professional carry out this work & provide warranty than spending big $$$ fitting out a garage at home with tools & equipment that I may use once in a blue moon, makes no economic sense to me.
But I do get guys who have a fully kitted out garage & spend all there time on this stuff, my best mate does it with a classic car & I get it, for me I did this stuff for a living for years & now I’m older I don’t want to do it again & I value my time against costs, doesn’t mean I have lots of cash, I just prioritise what I spend it on.
Qudos to you for doing it yourself.
