Is there a toggle to include new reply text in the notification email? Similar to how older forum software did notifications?

if there is, I haven't seen it on this forum.

Yes, there is, but I’ve turned it off. I constantly received replies to those messages with people thinking they could just reply to the email - even with multiple notices stating “don’t reply to this email - it only goes to the forum administrator”. That’s not a feature I will turn on again.

That's too bad. It would be nice if it was an option..

Slightly off topic but since we got you here, is there a way to allow me to edit my own posts past the default time limit? I have some informational posts i want to update info on but am unable to because it locks out my ability to do it after some time.

Understood. I've been around forums for ages so it's a well understood concept (one has to log in to reply).

Is it possible and/or would you consider having it as an opt in option? That is by default things function the same as right now, but user can turn that feature on manually in their settings control panel?

Thanks for considering...

It would be nice to offer the ability to specific user groups but that’s not possible. At least not yet.

Please contact me via direct message (conversation) to make the updates.

It would be nice but the only option is ON or OFF for the entire community. It’s outrageous how many replies I was receiving on a daily basis when the option was turned on. All those replies never make it to the community unless I write back to each person attempting to explain why their message didn’t get to their intended recipient - and then they have to go and actually repost their message where it belongs. It almost never happen. What a waste. The final straw was when somebody got nasty about me receiving their message instead of their intended recipient. They thought it was malicious. Beyond that, it’s just too much work to maintain.
