Hi guys!

One thing I really like on the face-lifted Stinger is the new stitching on the dash. So I decided I want it in my 2019 Stinger.
I found a dash cover in mint condition somewhere in Poland for a very low price (about 100€, incl shipping to my place) and I want to replace the fake leather on it with something else.

Since I want to replicate the new Stinger, I will either choose alcantara (the same type I have on my a-pillars and headliner) or real leather, like the one on the seats.
In both cases I want to opt for white stitching, with similar thread to the one on my seats.

So, which would you choose?

Anyone has the alcantara OEM dash?
How is it holding up? Any trouble cleaning it?
I think this is what I'm leaning towards.

I would never get alcantara especially if it is your daily driver. Over time it will just look worse and worse and is a PITA to keep clean. I had alcantara in my previous Corvette, never again!

I have it in my 23 GT2. Still looks brand new after 8500 miles. Very easy to keep clean.

I have alcantara in my GT2 also. I love the look and the difference in texture throughout the cabin. No issues keeping it clean for me either. And the red seatbelts are the bomb!:)

Not a fan of alcantara, or any suede type materials. This is especially true for steering wheel, shift knob, or any other "high traffic" areas.

To me, it's similar to matte paint. Looks great when brand new and some folks love that look of exclusivity and luxury, but a b**** to clean and to stay looking good.

had a Subaru SVX with alcantara (ecsaine ) glove box area and armrests on the doors.

i would not choose it if given the choice.

Is that just a stick on product?

That looks great. I wouldn't want Alcantara on my seating surfaces, but that dash area is not a wearing surface, so it shouldn't wear much at all, nor are you likely to spill drinks or smear stuff on it.

I kinda want this:

Maybe it's alright for the parts that are less touched like the dash, door panels and headliner? Idk if I'd want it for the seat or a steering wheel. My gen 2 Ford lightning came stock with light colored grey alcantara seats with leather inserts. Looks like this when in good shape.

Mine looks rough, especially the driver side.

It looks cool but doesn't hold up long term. I mean the truck was my Dad's daily for probably 12 years though and he lived in Florida with no tint, also, the truck is 20+ years old. Maybe they use better materials now? I'm sure mine is worse than most. If I end up replacing it I'll go with the black alcantara that they make now. Should hold up better just for the fact it won't show every little thing plus I'm sure I'll be more gentle with it than he was.
