• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Oops pic on my phone looked like it would have been small enough not to read haha! Guess not! I removed it for now

I haven't had anything that bad, it's just that I'm not getting the results or satisfaction they promise. The worst thing is I get the feeling they think I'm stupid, but in reality I've owned and driven numerous cars, all of which I have worked on from top to bottom including entire engine rebuilds, so to tell me something is normal when this is currently the most noise filled car I have owned yet, that's an insult. Come spring time, I'll be looking at having the issue addressed, but I'll probably be taking the car to an independent dealer, not one of the two tied to the conglomerate.
Record the sounds your having and take a tech for a ride.

I've taken the tech out 3 times at one dealership. He hears the noises but can't figure it out and he's supposedly their best guy. I'm pretty sure they don't want to deal with it since they call it "normal."

It has quieted down since it's damn cold lately as you've probably noticed (it's a warm weather problem), so I'll tackle it again in spring, but with a different dealer. I hope there is some kind of resolution from Kia by then, it'll definitely make the process easier.

This issue has been reported on a few other manufactures still no fix, check out the testla forums for some DIY fixes, check this video out might help.

Dealer put those wheels on?

Yep, didn't want to take a chance with summer tires with the forecast here next week, so I had the dealer put Michelin Alpines on the black rims before I picked it up. Now that 2020s are hitting the lots they are trying to get rid of the '19s so I was able to negotiate in floor mats and the 3M as well. That plus 0% financing made this about $10k cheaper than the Audi A5 sportback I was comparing to

That’s a sweet deal, you’ll love it.

Looking into my first real mod for the car and looking at the MBRP exhaust.. since this thread is full of Albertans, is the stainless steel version worth the extra cost or is the aluminized steel good enough?

I don't think YYC uses salt on the roads compared to the east but I'm not too sure.. Never really done any exhaust work on my previous car so this is new territory, sorry :lipsaresealed:

From the City of Calgary's web site:

Huh no wonder some of my family say Calgary doesn't use salt we hit below -10 quite often lol

Also, anyone in Edmonton have Borla or MBRP exhaust installed?? Also trying to decide between those

Everything I've heard with the Borla it's way too loud for my tastes. I'll be going with MBRP in the spring, plus they're a Canadian company.

Ive got the mbrp exhaust and Jun bl mid pipes on the car. I find the in cabin noise at 1800-2500 rpm rather annoying but i think a set of real exhaust tips might help that.

I see. I think I'm gonna go with the MBRP exhaust.

Speaking of which, I'm gonna sell the Akrapovic tips I currently. These are brand new in box, as I got them in anticipation for a Borla exhaust but I have now decided to go with MBRP.

These are oval tips with 51mm inlet (fits 2" stock and 2.25" borla exhaust) and 85*105mm outlet (does not require any bumper trimming). I'm asking for $200CAD or best offer (I paid over $230). I'm located in Edmonton, so local pick up would be rad!

After I took my car on a good long road trip I figured any aftermarket exhaust, at least exiting where the tips do, would definitely drone. It's not a loud exhaust stock, otherwise I'm sure it would drone too, I can tell.
