Did you put them on yet Carl ? By far my best mod so far.I believe there's another thread where some have got their car dyno'ed after. Keep in mind, there's a very good chance you'll be missing 2 of the #32 clamps. There's been many mentions of it, I received mine Thursday, also missing the #32 clamps. If yours are missing, you have a few choices, call them and have them send the clamps (which could take another 7-14 days before they ship...which is what they told me), you could buy two clamps on your own, or you can re-use the existing clamps.
Check out these two threads for more info of others who have got these intakes. New Intake and Has anyone tried this CAI
Sadly not yet. Too much rain and I don't have a garage. I have off of work starting friday and all next week, so plenty of time coming up.Did you put them on yet Carl ? By far my best mod so far.
Sounds good. Let me know what you think once you have them in. Still have to drop my lap3 ecu in but this rain is a killer like you said .Sadly not yet. Too much rain and I don't have a garage. I have off of work starting friday and all next week, so plenty of time coming up.
That's me lol. Long story but I only got one run in. If you're interested in the story, I'll post it.I believe there's another thread where some have got their car dyno'ed after. Did you use this spray off the website to soak them down and then let them dry? On the site it mentioned every 15-20k to clean… is that sufficient ? And how is that charge pipe from Afe working out for you?I'm cleaning my air filters currently. Just wanted to let you all know that both the aFe intakes and charge pipes fit fit nicely but they're tight. Accessing the passage side intake with the cold side charge pipe installed WILL BE a pain in the ass. It's doable but it's a chore.
No, I didn't use the spray. I actually have to buy some lol. I just knocked off loose dirt and vacuumed out the airboxs. There was a good amount of dirt that I was able to knock off but the inside of the filters were still very clean.Did you use this spray off the website to soak them down and then let them dry? Staying on top of things I like it. Yes will do. I’ll probably clean mines 4-5k miles like an oil changed just to be safe. My intake spray actually came in today so just wanted to have it on hand if need be. Have to take a look at my ram ducts now that you mentioned it. Good infoNo, I didn't use the spray. Since you are running ram air ducts like me I would recommend checking for any debris buildup every 1k miles. I will do a deep clean with the spray every 6k miles, that'll be my cleaning routine.
I really like the charge pipes. I have both the hot and cold side. I feel that the boost delivery is smoother overall.
I'm still using up all the free dealer oil changes, I actually had the service manager ask me why I was getting my oil changed every 3k miles. I told him the oil should be changed every 3k miles for server driving conditions per the manual lol.Staying on top of things I like it. Yes will do. I noticed some increased throttle response. Glad you got yours in Carl. Best intakes imoFinally installed!!!! The drivers side box doesn't fit quite as well as the passenger side box as others have mentioned on the other thread (which I also updated). I was able to get all the screws in place. Just left the front one loose, then did the other two. Once they were all threaded I tightened them all down, which is what it tells you to do in the instructions. Anyways, took about 2 hours total removal and install. Passenger side is definitely tighter than the drivers side and I would imagine that bigger charge pipe would definitely make it even tighter. So far I'm pretty happy. Only took a quick drive and got on it after it warmed up.
Yeah it definitely seemed a bit more punchy. With the music off I was definitely able to hear the induction during heavy acceleration and blow off when suddenly letting off. Would imagine it's more noticeable outside. Couldn't hear it with my music. So for me...that's perfectI noticed some increased throttle response. Glad you got yours in Carl. Best intakes imo
I’m right with you my guy. Perfect tone for the daily vehicle. You can hear the whoosh sound but not loud loud like the injen intakes. And it’s a true cai with the enclosed box. Going to get my car Dyno this Monday with my mods I have so far. You coming out to c&c this Sunday ?Yeah it definitely seemed a bit more punchy. Also there's enough obnoxious cars in my neighborhood that people are pretty annoyed with.
I usually wind up at the Dulles and sometimes (usually) head out to the Leesburg one as well. Looks like the weather will be pretty good.I’m right with you my guy. Perfect tone for the daily vehicle.
