So hello to all. My name is Glenn. My moniker of " 65RivieraGS" is one of my pride and joys: a 1965 Riviera GS.

Today I took possession of a 2020 Stinger GT1. I was deciding between the so-called "Indigo package"GT and this Pearl Whit/Red Leather GT1. I went with the GT1. I think that the Stinger is a great looking car. --I wish the hood scoops were real. Looking forward to driving it like I stole it. Hope to meet some of you in person.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger GT! What did the Stinger replace for you? I’m glad you found us. :)

It replaced a BMW 135is with 185,000 miles on the odo. That little BMW was a fantastic ride -- it is fast and has some goodies that I may end up missing, like:
Adaptive Steering
Active headlamps
Quick-touch entry
Key fob opens the windows before you enter the car
Amazing suspension
SPEED ___ 4.5 in the 0-60 chase, and I 've had that buggy past 150mph (ungoverned) in a hurry... rock solid! There was still some mph left, but I admittedly got worried of that speed.

This go-around I needed a sedan, and not a coupe. I think that this sedan will be interesting to compare with my former '06 Dodge Charger Daytona edition ... I got 319,000 miles out of the 5.7L --- it cut down to 4 cylinders on the highway for added mpg ... with my mostly highway driving at a cruising speed of 80 I was averaging 24. My BMW, 3.5L I-6 twin-screw turbo gave me 25, I am curious to find out what this mill on the Stinger brings after it's broke-in (500-600miles is enough for me).

Howdy. 600 miles is the recommended "break in" period, by the book.

Some drivers have made their hood "vents" real. It's mainly a Korean thing, though.

Welcome and congrats Glenn. Post some pics of the Stinger and the Riviera.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Yeah ...I'm making my way slowly through the manual. Yes; "vents" are the better term. I see only one slight advantage to open up vents to "release engine heat" rather than having functional air intakes. The way the air flow is set up now looks like could have been improved. I've seen cone filter setups, but those actually bring in hot air from the engine bay (hence vents may help) and not directly from the outside. I know .. dynos prove the performance gains ... what they don't tell you is how much performance "wasted" there is is because of that design. The cones bring in much better air flow and mass...colder air is heavier -- the cone in a closed engine bay design doesn't take advantage of the colder outside air. A kick-ass intercooler and straighter trunk into the air box I think would be a benefit. Then again, I prefer a supercharger instead of a turbo -- superchargers provide instant power in a much simpler system

Nice upgrade from a BMW. Congrats and welcome any pics?.. of your cars of course (ain't perv here).
