So before I crawl under the car with a multimeter, does anyone know the behavior & signals for the active exhaust?

Since it's a 3 pin connector, I'm assuming one side is either always +12v (or always grounded) while the car is running, and the other two leads either get grounded (or have +12v applied) momentarily to open or close the valve when Sport is engaged/disengaged.

And then the car sends an "open" signal at shutoff, and a "close" signal at/after startup, until you select Sport mode?

Checked today using remote start, and the valve flips shut about a second after it cranks. Unplugged one connector and measured 19-20v on one side pin (blue?) vs. the middle and other side pin, so I'm assuming the car grounds out one of those to open and one to close.

Then I noticed the other valve staying closed even when switching to Sport mode. Plugged the first connector back in, restarted the car, and the behavior remained: valves open with car off, but closed with car on regardless of mode.

Update: it appears the valves will stay closed in Sport mode until you put it in gear. And when I flipped it between Park, Neutral, and Drive (with door open and parking brake on), I saw the valves about halfway open. So I guess it's not the all-or-nothing I'd thought.

If anyone has the wiring/logic, that would be appreciated, as I haven't found any documentation and will need to enlist someone else's help to experiment on the car.

You could get this that i have on my stinger to control via a wireless remote. It keeps valves fully closed or fully open.

Works great. Plugs into the factory connection to get power. Just have to tuck away one of the original wiring and make sure you connect the blank connector to keep it clean. You can even program the garage door opener buttons for the two functions. I keep mine open pretty much always unless i need it quiet around cops or something lol.

Thanks, I've seen those but was really hoping someone knew the stock wiring/behavior. I hadn't noticed the staying closed or partial open behavior.

My most likely use case will be to just leave the valves open all the time (IE just unplug while car's off), but also considered a simple switch to have them closed while off for quieter cold starts.

So basically the opposite of current behavior :-)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
