Greetings! I just joined this forum tonight, and I am about to order my first Korean car, as well as first Kia on December 4th, when I can get to the dealer where I will be keeping the car. Stinger has a combination of attributes which makes it very desireable for my purposes, including the hatchback practiclity and comfortable rear seat. My next choice was a BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, although the hyper-rational part of my brain kept telling me to get a Subaru Outback. I was very pleased to find I can pass the "sit behind myself" test, as I am 6'2", and knowing the influence of ex-pats from BMW and Audi for engineering and design (please, not the other way around...ever!), combined with Kia quality reputation, helps me feel comfortable buying the early production of a first-year program.

Now that the build function is up on the Kia website, I see that some choices are limited. I know that a 2.0 Premium is what I want, but I also see that I am limited to a white exterior, as I do not ever want a black interior. I would have enjoyed Ceramic Silver, which seems interesting. But, I can live with this. The rest of the car seems extremely well-equipped for my desires and about ten grand below the Bimmer alternative, comparably equipped.

I've enjoyed participating in forums for MB, BMW, Audi, Subaru and look forward to having interesting and friendly chats here. I've worked in the auto industry for about 3 decades before retiring and going back to work for a Tier I supplier. I apologize in advance if some industry jargon seeps into my posts!

I too am in the market for a 2.0 Premium and I agree 100% a black interior would kill the deal for me so it seems white it shall be.

I had 2015 bmw 435x gran coupe and loved that car. I’m hoping I like the stinger as much.

I’m looking at the GT2 trim level and I want a white car but with the white GT2 the only interior color option is black. I really wanted the red interior so I may have to do a black car. It’s the one thing bugging me at the moment.

Welcome aboard, @Sportstick! Thank you for signing up. Have you seen THIS POST about colors in the U.S.? It looks like we're going to have more options when all is said and done. In any event, I'm glad you found us! My first Korean car was my 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan - and so far that's been a perfect experience. I have a few pictures posted HERE.

Yes, considering the Stinger's DNA has a lot of Audi and BMW, I'm confident it's going to drive REALLY well. It's obvious to me how good it looks inside and out - and the quality and comfortable level inside the car exceeds my expectations. All I need now is a test drive but I'm highly confident it'll also exceed my expectations there.

I'm glad another forum-veteran has found his way to our little club. I hope you find the Kia Stinger Owners Group to be a fun, entertaining, and informative place on the web. :)

Thanks for that info...it may be that it's a matter of timing of car arrivals versus my need to acquire sooner rather than later. I'm OK with white over grey...it just wasn't my first choice. This car will be for a second home location where I currently have nothing to drive...so I am a bit eager to get onto some wheels soon after arriving in December, so I can't afford to be too picky if the dealer can find a white 2.0 Premium....My only real deal-breaker would be a black interior. Perfect combination would have been Ceramic Silver over red, but who knows when or if that will ever migrate down to the 2.0 cars???

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I wasn't crazy about white when I first saw it. In fact, I kinda hated it. I didn't like how that red reflector stuck out so much in the back. But, after somebody here bought one and posted pictures, it began to grow on me. Now, I like it! If I were to get white I still might get a less noticeable reflector (use reflective white tape probably) but the more I see it, the more I'm okay with the way it looks as is.

I'm a big fan of silver (and grey) because of how easy it is to keep clean. But I'm open to a lot of colors considering how nice the car looks. Again, I didn't care for any of the light colors initially - because of that reflector -- but the Stinger has some really nice lines in its design - and you don't see them as well in dark colors...
