After researching, browsing forums, and weighing options. I decided to get a Stinger GT1. Three years later... I finally got it today. 2022 GT1 in Ascot Green with the Cream interior... used with only 7k on it :geek:

A bunch of people on this forum helped it happen as I stalked their posts and questions. Thanks everyone!!!
And yes.. already ordered my AEM Cold Air Intakes. :D
Sorry to be such a noob, but as a new Stinger owner in Canada, I'm a little confused with the different model designations that I'm seeing from users in other countries.
Kia does not have GT1 or GT2 designations up here.
Also, all Canadian Stingers are sold with AWD, and I don't believe we ever got the four cylinder cars either. V6 only.
So, I guess I'm asking what your 2022 GT1 has going for it. Is it RWD for example, and which engine does it have?
Thanks.

I think a GT1 is close to a GT Limited. I'm not sure if GT1's get the HK audio system though.

GT1 = GT non limited (less options and shitty audio)
GT2 = GT limited (full options)
I think the Scorpion and anniversary editions were available in both countries
We dont have RWD or 2.5s here anymore...I think we did in 2018 with the 2.0 but they stopped marketing them.
I have seen a couple 2.0 2018s for sale used here in my neck of the woods

This is not entirely true for me in NY. I have a 2021 GT1 with hk sound system, heated and cooled seats, and the upgraded cluster. Other things too I am probably forgetting but yea

Ya, I think you folks had more selection for options than we do..we really only had 2 to choose from.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The audio isn't shitty.... not as good as HK, I'm sure, but it's still nice. :)

For the 2022's here's a good link for what's in what. There's a good summary at the bottom.
welp.. won't let me post the link. I'll see if I can trick the system. Put a (dot com) where the * is

kbb*/comparison/which-2022-kia-stinger-is-right-for-me/

Also, each trim can be either RWD or AWD ( Here's another link that aslo specifies that: cars*/research/kia-stinger-2022/trims/ )

I think a GT2 is like a GT Elite. I think a GT1 slightly below a GT Limited--at least in 22 and 23. So you could say that a GT Limited is a GT 1.5.

I know I have a GT Limited, and it's missing the HUD, adjustable bolsters, 360 camera, an auto levelling headlights. It does have the electronically controlled suspension, HK system (i believe 2022 and 3 GT1's didn't have HK), heated and ventilated seats, auto dimming mirrors, etc.

We only have limited and regular non limited..I have the limited and it has every option available AWD 3.3 . The non limited doesnt have HUD , HK audio, full leather seats with AC and bolsters, leveling headlights and a few other options.....but Im speaking from a canadian model perspective. You can special order certain options to add to the non limited but they are so expensive you might as well get all the goodies in the limited. @NS_Stinger has the non limited version I believe?

The face-lifted US Stingers make everything way more complicated, but the GT1s pre face-lift had the HK audio, and a bunch of other stuff, but the post face-lift GT1 was more like a GT0.5.

The one I bought is designated as a GT Elite AWD. That's all that's available now in Canada.
It has all the goodies that you can get in one of these, I think.
Bigger info screen, heated/cooled seats with side bolster adjustment, rear heated seats, HUD, 360 view (I love that), etc. etc
I went through the manual, and every chapter starts with "if so equipped", and so far I haven't found anything in the manual that my car isn't equipped with. Bonus.
Before buying it, I didn't realize there were so many variations around in different countries.
I assumed Kia narrowed down the models available everywhere in 2023, and not just in Canada.
Always learning.

Interesting. I know for certain mine's a 2022 Canadian-model GT Limited that's missing some of the American GT2 goodies like 360 surround view. I thought Canada also had a GT Elite which had *everything*. I could be wrong though.

Mine is the GT Elite, and it has all the goodies you just mentioned.

When looking up 2022 models in Slovakia (so my inlaws and my wife and I's friends out there could read the specs while we were visiting), it seemed like they always just had the GT2/GT Elite version...I think they just called it the GT.

In Canada GT1=GT, GT2=GT Limited. And yes Canada did get the 2.0 four cylinders.
