A disappointing day...what happened??

Quite possible. Seems like something went wrong and the previous owner dumped it and got by inspections on it. Just crazy to me this is happening. I'm getting a stinger gt2 at the end of the day freaking love the cars just maybe I got the short end of the stick on this one. I'm going to have to look at my sales contract and do some research if it comes down to that. I mean I have manufacturer warranty remaining plus the extended warranty (which I've seen work out on my dad who got a whole new engine on his 911 with it) so maybe I'll luck out and have a new engine put in haha. Idk just a shitty deal all around I guess I'll see how it plays out in the coming days.

Did you buy the car from a Kia dealership? Is it a Kia service center looking into the issues?

New update. So they have had it in the shop since 7 this morning and they haven't found the issue yet. They said they have a call in to the engineering hotline because the codes they're getting isn't something they have ever dealt with and they're at a loss. So I guess there is more waiting to do and with labor day coming up I'm probably looking until next week (probably an optimistic outlook because I'm sure the kia hotline isn't extremely responsive) until I even have an answer let alone a fix. Very frustrating but on the bright side they didn't bandage it and send me home just to get it out of the shop. So I guess I'll update when I get an answer.

Always a worry when even Kia mechanics don’t know what the problem is.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Sounds like the previous owner may have added some sought of tuning mods?

That car was probably heavily moded.

Well I guess they were feeding me a line, or maybe they're not up to snuff. So they told me that they found the problem...a couple of the coils are bad. So I don't know if they were bsing me about the engineer so they could give me something when I called. But whatever I hope thats only the issue because I am hopefully going to be back behind the wheel next Wednesday. So all this for a problem that seems to be known (at least in this forum). We'll see but thanks for all the chit chat great community im happy to be a part of now! Gave me something to keep my mind off the frustration haha! I'll check back in with some pics once I got that bad boy in my driveway!

Called it! Where's my prize?

Have them change ALL of the coils AND plugs not just the ones they think are bad.

Now, what is the dealership doing for you to stop you from blasting the internet with negative reviews?

Haha I don't know we'll find out I have to think of my angle on that one. And yeah I told them to just change everything because this crap isn't happening again. But yeah you called if from the get go!

Nice call @Kamauxx

Multiple bad coils smells of a tune. I bet the red wire on the O2 sensor harness has pinholes from the positaps (JB4 fuel wires).
Definitely insist on 6 new coils and 6 new plugs.
