I recently purchased some Tuxmat floor mats but I have some clearance issues with the rails for both front seats. After only 2 weeks of usage, there is already a tear on the edge of the front driver mat caused by the front driver seat rails rubbing against the mat every time my wife gets into the car. She is quite short so she needs to pull the seat all the way forward when driving. Same problem on the passenger seat when moving the seat all the way forward.

I was wondering for those who have the 3D maxpider or weathertech floor mats, when putting both seat all the way forward, do you have any rubbing issues with the seat rails.

Thanks,

OP, can you post a pic? I have the tuxmats too, haven't really looked at them since installing. Will be detailing the car next week, will take a look. I'm the only driver and seat is somewhat back (i'm 6').

I did run the maxpider mats in the g37. They were ok, but not as full coverage as tuxmats. I did have issues with the initial one with a hole developing at the heel of the driver throttle area. They replaced with an updated model which did not suffer from this issue. Sold the mats separately from the car at sale time (keep the OE mats in a bag in the basement).

Here you go. I've uploaded one pick of the front mat where the tear is pretty obvious and one front behind the driver seat where a tear is starting. In all honesty, if it wasn't for the fact that my wife is short and that the seat is continuously moving up and down, this wouldn't be an issue and I would have kept the mats. Also, I did look at the clearance this weekend and there is not much room to fully clear any mat with a raised edge. This is probably why the OEM mat has cutouts to clear the rails.

yours looks different. I guess I have the old version but my passenger seat moves back and forth a lot and no issues. plus I have the auto retract on the driver seat and also no issues so far. maybe get like a flat box opener or something and flatten the edges a bit?
