Good afternoon all,

Not new to tuning last car was 06 Evo MR, hated selling back when. Any how I picked the Stinger for the platform, performance and style. 2022 AWD 3.3, 3k miles on her as i write this. She already had the drivers side turbo replaced for an impeller that looked almost melted. Anyway after a horrible experience I decided like I did with the Evo and just run with mods. K&N Intake, Bits BOV, Ultimate Performance Down pipe meeting to a Borla exhaust tuned with a JB4 Map 1.

Initially there was 0 issues for a week. After the downpipes were put on it started throwing codes like P0430-P0298. Went on here looked around reset no problem. Left bank lean right bank rich ok. Now as of today she went full special needs. Driving to work CEL came on I didn't worry. All of a sudden I heard this drastic and sudden shift in the exhaust tone, like it could barley create power (limp mode) coupled with this bizzare clank from what felt was driver side lower pipe. Pulled over, now JB4 was reading:
P2098
P0403
P0603
P0000
P0000

After I turned it back the car back on it sounded normal (exhaust) with no weird clank). Limped it too work driving home same thing happened sickly exhaust sound no power and the clank. Shut it off/ back on a it sounded great no clank. I went into eco mode with no more than 20% throttle just knowing it was going to happen again. Any one heard of this? I really don't want to regret buying her.

Thank you,
-Daniel

Removing downpipes, JB4 and going back to stock tune. Forums aren't quite what they used to be back when. Last post.

Need some attention, eh?

...and I am nervous about going above 4k rpm in the first 1k miles. Looks like removing the mods would be a good place to start at this point.

Call it a hunch but I feel like the Ultimate Performance Downpipes have been tied to issues like this. Not sure if they just free up too much flow and create overboost situations, but I've heard enough bad stuff tied to replacing the primary cats that I'd never go there on my own car I can tell you that much.

You never mentioned anything about re-gapping your plugs? I would think that is the issue. Did you try going back to Map 0

always with the downpipes. that's like half of all modding issues posted. Also, I recall reading stuff about BOV's needing adjustment, etc. Like it's not just plug and play. No clue on that but it seems like leaving the downpipe/cats alone lead to far fewer issues. Hope you figure it out.

Yup was going to say plugs too. Had so many issues with Denso's (Assuming). HKS's made my car work properly again.

part out

Plugs would be my first check.

Did you install an O2 spacer?

He already burned the bridge, he made his 'last post'.

Bro you only waited like 2.5hrs for a reply lol

Going by your first post, your Stinger's stock turbo melted, and then you immediately jumped into modding the car? You didn't want to wait in case another issue with a stock part would arise? You're risking your warranty with those mods.

Hope everything works out, though.

Wow, what amazing support for some peeps that don't have a thing to say until I do. Burn a bridge.... anyway to those who care about issues and how to collectively repair them.
The set of HKS was gapped at .022.
My guys JE imports in Baltimore are all over it, They suspect something a little deeper now. car was towed to them and even with JB4 they can visibly see its still running very rich.

Now you are a dirty liar. I believe you promised not to post again.

Yeah that sounds like something a bit deeper than just the mods. Overboosting is something you will have to contend with with either enough breathing mods, or if you touch the primary cats. EWG wires with the JB4 or an ECU tune would address that. The rest of it...eh. I'm guessing you already ruled out an exhaust leak? That could make AFR go wild which could then lead to the loss of power and maybe a few other things...Speaking of, did you also check the JB4 fuel wire connections? Just a few thoughts but if you've already got it with a shop you trust I'd say they ought to be able to figure it out.

Did I say last post you on this website you troll? Mind your business and let the older ones help you with issues you may have have.
