3.3 gt2 Ark Performance Downpipes

Lots have.

I think the concensus is if you're looking to add a little bit more sound and a little bit more power in a few spots in your powerband these are decent. But you will see almost no increase in peak HP/TQ numbers from installing them.

Thank you for the response! I recently purchased the secondary downpipes I am not sure whether or not I am going to purchase primaries do to voiding the warranty possibly although it is a bolt on. I just want to have a little fun with my car now that I have been purchasing little things for it here and there. If I were to get a nice little Rumble from removing the secondaries installing these Ark performance then that would be good enough for me. What are the mods you have on your stinger?

Primary downpipes are a pretty big hassle on our cars. It's definitely doable, but it's very tedious, and many have broken turbo manifold studs in the process.

If you want just basic bolt ons and mild mods, I wouldn't mess with the primaries. Many of us have very fast cars while still using the stock primaries. One example is @Tonkabob - he's currently the fastest Stinger in both 0-60 and in the 1/4 mile, and he's still on stock primaries.

Anyway, going back to the ARK secondaries. I have them and I like them. But they don't change the sound much if you still have the stock axleback exhaust.

I'd stay away from the primary deletes, I've only heard bad things when it comes to exhaust sound and drone/rasp etc.

I've not modded mine much for power but I have:
BMS Intakes
BMS Pedal Tuner
Eibach Front/Rear sway bars
Girodisc Magic front pads
M&S Type G Spoiler
Maxton Design V1 Front Splitter
20mm rear hubcentric spacers
Brandmotion frameless rearview mirror
KDM front/rear badges
KDM airbag

Oh for sure. Yeah ... Primaries are out of the equation now. Thanks NS_Stinger and Toddasaurus.
Im just tryin to have some fun and most likely take it up to the track a couple times.

For the money you'd spend on a set of primaries and midpipes you could pretty much get a JB4 with spark plugs and actually gets some serious power increases. If you're concerned about warranty the JB4 is a piggyback so it can be removed fairly easily so it's undetected. If you haven't already heard about it you should check it out.

Have you re-gapped your OEM plugs to spec? What map are you running? If you haven't at least re-gapped your factory plugs to within the specs BMS calls for you might have one fail on you.

I have not re-gapped nor switched over to a step colder IE: Hks 40's
I NEED to do one of the two though for sure. Im running that risk. The dealerships only do OEM replacements and dont regap to any other sizing

Regapping/changing plugs is <2hr job. I wouldn't run anything over map 1 with stock plug gap.

I will have to suck it up and swap them out. I'm only worried about voiding my warranty is all. Im ballin on a dollar buget haha

It's all good. I kept my OEM plugs and regapped them to 0.026". I have full bolt ons, minus primary dp's, and I even ran Map 5 using an E30 blend for a while and got my best 0-60 time with them. Stock plugs are a lot better than people give them credit for as long as they're properly gapped and properly torqued to spec.

These are one of the most popular options in secondary downpipe upgrades. Ark did a fantastic job of making these and they sound absolutely phenomenal.

We have them available on our website (Click Here) but please reach out if you have any questions at all. You will definitely notice an improvement in sound whether you are stock or if you have a catback system already.

Yes Indeed, I plan on getting them as well. I would have to remove the bracket in front of the radiator correct?

I'll for sure do something about the sparks because I run Map2 at the moment. You have the velossa tech wide mouths, right?

Yup. I don't think they make much of a difference in the real world; but, the concept still seems sound to me so I went for them. Plus the company owner is a really cool guy and even involved me (just a tiny bit) in the process of development for the G70.

The ARK downpipes are quality, and sound great with a cat back. They bring a bit of enjoyment to cold starts. If you don't have a piggy back and your on a budget the JB4 would be a great choice. You can add quite a few mods to it, and when you're ready for WMI you'll be able to tweak it to your heart's desire. If you have HKS 40 plugs, or did you say stock? Go a step colder with the JB4 and might want to gap around .024. Todd and I have very similar mods and similar results. i enjoy seeing a G70 build similar to mine, but I had much better results with the shorter gap. Hopefully Tork will get the back end flash out soon and we'll watch times drop lower. Best of luck

My stinger is actually in the shop at the moment. I'm pretty sure a spark plug/plugs was misfiring. (Original spark plugs) Im at approx 22k miles on mine so far. I need my sparks gapped closer. Once again though, I don't want to void the warranty on the vehicle. Kia dealership only does original maintenance. I would have to take the car somewhere else to have them gapped to the .024
WMI kits sound like it puts in some serious work haha
