I have a '22 GT1 and been curious about upgrading my exhaust. I really don't know much. I researched a bit and saw all the companies such as MRBP along with others. However, most don't have (or at least have labeled it) a compatible '22 version. Has anyone tried using any of the previous model exhaust on the '22 version? Thanks again!

Folks have, but there is generally issues lining up the pipes in the valence tips.

Also, you will lose the support valving.

Could you utilize like an aftermarket rear splitter to solve this? Also, what is support valving? Sorry don't know much so kind of learning while I'm going about this

Sorry, that was my auto correct. I meant "Sport valving". There is an electronically actuated valve that opens on cold start, as well as when in Sport mode that drastically changes the character of the exhaust note.

That is why I was really thinking about. I definitely want to keep my valving. I don't want to be ripping it in eco mode, just when I'm in sport and cold starts. However, I haven't found a '22 exhaust with eav or anything remotely close.

I don't think there is anything that integrates into the factory system, although from what I understand the Jun BL active exhausts will fit, but you have to use switch.

Dang, just looked it up and it doesn't sound that good at all, in my opinion. Maybe it sounds better in person, but I really don't want the extra key fob switch thing. Maybe some might come out a little later with the factory system from another brand.... Also, just a side topic, did you have any issues with your remote start?

Not really. Except the fob doesn't reach very far.

We have confirmation that the Borla Exhaust will fit on the 2022+ GT models. You can view this information on our website HERE. MBRP is in the works on a 2022 model catback but they are being held up with covid issues affecting the supply chain.

Can you keep your eav with this exhaust?

Whether or not it will be EVC has not been confirmed. I am waiting on the final details to be released but they have continued to have to push back deadlines due to COVID.

MBRP seems like my best bet. I really like the sound of their previous model. I just hope this one contains an evc. Fingers crossed*

Yeah I'll have to ask for a picture and I'll ask Borla about it but since they don't come with an evc I probably won't get it.

I emailed MBRP and asked them about the exhaust being developed for the MY22 and if the valve function would be retained. As mikegt2 said, they responded very quickly, and had good news.

"We are currently developing a system for the 2022 Stinger. We expect it to be available by March.
At this time the system retains the exhaust valves.
Thank you for your email."
