I have a 19 gt2 and the only thing i really envy the 22 buyers is the lane blind spot assist camera that shows up in the gauge cluster. Is it possible to upgrade a 19 stinger to have this and would it be crazy expensive? All the cameras are there, i suppose it would only be the new central screen in the gauge cluster.

Has anyone tried to do this?

The cameras on the side view mirror are actually different (pulled out slightly) more so it will be super expensive.

However, I do recall seeing a module from shark racing that would activate the side view cameras when a turn signal was turned on. That would just be tapping into wires

I place 2" round wide angle mirrors at the outside corners of the l/r mirrors. Shows blind spot just fine.

Or just adjust your side mirrors per the manual to show the blind spot...instead of showing the rear of your car like 98% of people (incorrectly) do.

I looked on Shark Racing site, could not find it. Maybe it is not offered any longer.

My Kia manual does not say this.

I too remember seeing that module somewhere ... Can't recall where.

It's a feature I also wish I had, but I find having the blind spot indicators in the HUD serves me pretty well. Do you have those enabled? (GT2 only)

Yeah i do, and realistically the stinger has really large mirrors so you can handle the blind spot just fine. It's just the tech with the camera and the screen is really cool to me so i'm exploring options.

^^I don't know if it's the distance from the mirror, size, shape, or angle, but stinger mirrors show less information than those in the car I was driving before - 9th gen accord sedan.

Youtube recommended some dmv road test videos for me. Part of the test is driving back in a straight line for a certain distance without using any aids (cameras). Not sure how doable this is in this car given the back window is relatively useless.

Here is the rearview module I am talking about from a tutorial site (website is Korea based). Shows a video of it working:

But yeah can't find the module for sale anymore

I would totally buy one of those. Thanks for finding it, wish they made it for sale again.

Maybe forward it to Shark Racing and see if they can get them again
