2022 Wheel Wrap

Today I wrapped portions of my 2022 stinger wheels and wanted to share the results. I saw the idea from Papa Fall on YouTube. I ordered enough wrap from Vvivid to cover 4 wheels and only ended up using half based on my method of portioning out the wrap for each section. It took about 1.25 hours for the first wheel and then about 35-40 for each after, and that is with removal, cleaning, wrapping and remounting. Everything was done horizontally on a table. My wife made 15 of the cutouts so that really saved some time. Anyway, I love the way it came out. This was my first wrap. The Vvivid YouTube channel was great.

I did the same thing but I used $2.00 electrical nylon tapes.

Nice. How’s it holding up? Did you need to cut it back or was the width already good?

Wow that makes such a difference to those rims.
IMO I liked the MY18-21 rims over the 22-23 rims, but that is a big improvement.

The tape width was about 18/19mm (0.75 inch) which is slight wider. Cut it to length and and I just centre the tape and wrap the sides. Need to have minor trimming to be perfect but I left it as it is without trimming.

Did the "wrap" when I got the car in Dec 2021. Still looks good, even with the frequent car wash with pressure hose.

As they say good enough to look nice from far. hehe.

Best part, I can rip it off and just reapply a new one.

That’s cool. I feel the same way on the wrap I used. I got a ton of it for not that much and in a nice gloss. Easy to put on but careful hand needed and sharp blade to trim to fit.

I agree. The ‘22 wheels are not my favorite. The scorpion wheels are nice though.

I did something similar but I wrapped all of the machined spokes. Really changes the look imo. Makes the factory wheels not so bad.

That’s nice. Very few people will do this and it’s fire. Saves some cash on wheels too for another year IMO. Nice job
