Something about the continuous bar with HCR looks really striking. I like the new taillights in that pic. Surely the "T" shifter is not from any 2021; they said they don't have any interior pics of the refresh yet.

I am really trying hard to like the refresh. But for some reason I cannot get around to it. Objectively, seeing more of the real exhaust among the chrome trimming is a downgrade over the current setup. Also, not a fan of the wheels. I am still holding my judgement on the new taillights. I want to see it with a black exterior first.

The only saving grace seems to be some tech upgrade which are always welcomed.

The refresh is definitely coming off as a sidestep versus a step forward when it comes to cosmetics. I think this isnt a bad thing for the early adopters if anyone was worrying that their 2018-20 might look outdated. I dont dislike the refresh it just isnt really enough for most of us to trade up from the current model.

I agree with you in regards to existing owners do not have to worry about their car looking outdated. However, as someone who will probably consider getting another lease on a newer Stinger it kinda sucks (seeing the direction they are going to). I want access to the newer UVO app, bigger infotainments screen, better interior, maybe Apple Car Key in the future. However, if they are going to keep making bad design decisions, I will have to at least entertain other options (which are limited unfortunately).

I like it so far but I hate the exhaust. It makes the fake tips look much worse. They need to be connected or it just looks way off. I would be interested if I can swap out that diffuser for my 2018 as the bigger holes could fit my aftermarket tips much better.

I just really hate that it loses the outline of the shape of our lights when the brake lights are on. It’s such a distinct look that makes the stinger look so good at night

It looks like something someone did to a current year model using aftermarket stuff. I don't like it. Kia's gotta do better!

Looks promising. Im sure it will do well, just because it's newer.

I do think the 1st gen taillights and headlights too, feel more unique. The new continuous rear bar, while nice and very "current", I don't think will not age well on a Kia, imho. It looks too "Porsche" including the 4x DRLs setup on the new front headlight design aswell.

Interior tech upgrades are always cool though, and those always get me looking.

Overall it is still a Stinger so it's a win-win ... but I'll be holding onto to my first gen/my19 upgraded.

BUT... If they do a coupe version in the next full platform re-development, well you might get my attention? Otherwise Genesis probably already has my money for their incoming GT70?

Nah, unfortunately nothing concrete... but the silhouette showing (2nd from the right) ... but I am holding my breath If the new GV80 is anything to go by, then I suspect a flagship luxury sport coupe will be good, very good! I expect the GT70 to be a true sport coupe and the GT90 to be it's big brother fully-luxury-loaded touring coupe. It has me all excited like the Stinger did pre-release.

I’ve seen that photo before. I guess we are on the same page.

My lease on my Stinger is up in a few years. If this redesign is the direction they are going to go with for model year refreshes, I hope there are more good alternatives!
