I'm returning my 2018 GT2 in tomorrow for a new 2021 GT2 because my lease is up on the 2018.
Can anyone tell me what if any is different between the two.
Thank you

The mileage should be less...

Great answer!
Funny

Read up on the MY 2020; the 2021 in the US/Canada is identical, by all that's been said so far. The facelift (S. Korean) stuff isn't coming here till the 2022 MY (again, according to the skuttlebutt). And of course any full refresh is after that; by the end of your second lease. :D

Curious and curiouser.

The skuttlebutt at my local dealer (coming from one of the managers) is that MY21 is the last year Stingers will be sold here in America. I was extremely skeptical before but if what you're saying is true as well then logically a facelift makes zero sense for them to even do.

The only other change I'm aware of is the "Stinger" logo replacing the KIA badge on the back trunk lid.

2019 and newer Stingers have the wonderful “Coasting” feature in ECO and Smart modes. That can increase fuel efficiency greatly especially when coasting down hills. You have to enable it. It is off by default and it does not come on 2018 Stingers.

The facelift is already reality in S. Korea. Yours is the first instance of "no more Stingers in US after 2021" that I've read.

I'd wait for 2022 (or maybe 2021). They've done a facelift already for 2021 in Korea with some features worth waiting for but don't appear they will be hear until 2022. That's why I bought a 2018 used... in 2-3 years I'll trade up for a redesign. :) Probably give the one I have now to my daughter.

I ended up getting a white 2020 GT2 AWD with red interior.
They had a 2021 in stock but visually and mechanically they are identical and i got a really good price and they absorbed the next 3 payments.

Does the 2020 come with variable exhaust?

No.
If it does i have not found how to access it yet.

the 2020 and 2021 in the US is still a carryover. Facelift/variable exhaust coming in late 2021 as a 2022 model as long as we are still getting it that is. :)

Local Ad has 10yr warranty on new models. Best bang for the buck.
