Saw this while browsing the dealer sites:

2020Stinger.webp

Called them up to see if it's legit, they confirmed, but want $55k CAD

Car is identical to 2019, salesman believes the throttle is more responsive and suspension is "better".

That young man is obviously on track to be regional sales manager ...

Wonder if the 2020's coming in might give some further incentive for the dealers to dump their 19's at even better prices.

There’s a $4,000 cash discount right now and I’ve seen GT Limiteds at $47,000. That’s pretty solid.

Yeah I've been seeing those prices. It had me wondering about swapping for a '19 and maybe leasing instead of financing. Would be eligible for 1% off lease/finance rates on top of all the deals (I think) being a current Kia owner.

Most likely, looking to upgrade?

I don't see the 2019 as an upgrade, I don't recall it having any extra features over the 2018. I've been fighting the dealer on getting the noisy sunroof fixed and they can't get it figured out. Moving to a new car might fix the problem but even if I can match payments (I think I can), I basically paid for this car for a year and I wouldn't get that money back. Considering what I know now on the Stinger, I think I'd get a lease over finance since I don't think I'll keep it past the warranty period with it's nearly 2000 dollar headlights, windshields, etc. I think it'll be a money pit once things start going wrong unless those prices start going down.

It's not going to fix your issue unless it's possibly a later 2019 model than mine. Apparently Kia Canada is looking into a resolution for it. My dealer seems to be proactively trying to fix it. Really my only concerns with this car are all of the little squeaks and rubbing, which I'm sure can be resolved one way or another.

I thought that might be the case regarding 2019's still having issues. My dealer tested another car on the lot, a new one which are all 19's and it had the same problem, which then the Kia engineer deemed normal. I have a couple leads on the cause of mine (looseness in the tracks, also can be replicated by pressing up on the headliner on the passenger side around the sunroof frame). I've been trying to spearhead the issue but I'm not only bummed but also feel a bit at a loss since I know that my dealer doesn't want to look at it any further since an engineer has deemed it normal. The northside dealer here sounds to be quite inept too, the west dealer has no free loaners and I haven't asked the dealer in the city to the east of mine.

I fully intend to keep chasing Kia Canada and the dealership until the issues are resolved, my 10 year old GTI didn't squeak, I expect that my brand new Kia Stinger doesn't squeak either, it's a little ridiculous. A creaking $50,000 car isn't normal. I also intend to get the Ultra Racing bracing to try to reduce chassis flex and the subframe collars. I don't believe that this sort of thing should be necessary for a new car, but also recognize that my Stinger was $20k less than an equivalently equipped Audi S5.

Well thanks for the chasing, it hopefully benefits everyone once a resolution comes across. Of course if I find a fix I will mention too, just keep us in the loop!

Which province?
There are some listed in Edmonton dealers for between 47K and 48K for GT Limited, with a 4000 discount. The Kia website offers 1% off lease or finance rates for current Kia owners, and I think that can stack with the discount. Honestly, 4K discount, 1% off 0.9% = 0% financing, not a bad price for someone looking at getting one new.
